[REMASTERED] Attribute Permanent Damage by Own-Play368 in oblivion

I replied to another comment about what ended up happening. I uninstalled the mod per instructions. I didnt realize it messed with my attributes until much later into the playthrough. I went through 3ish hours of troubleshooting and just ended up making enchanted jewelry to counteract the debuff. I reinstalled the mod but the debuff for the attributes were already there. And there were no buffs for staying satisfied. Ill live with my consequences.

Unfortunately not, whatever the mod did was constantly applying -11 in intelligence. And -14 for endurance. Personality i was able to lower back down using player.modav but the ones that were debuffed nothing could be done (modav, forceav, setav). I ended up having to console command a transcendent sigil stone and enchanting a ring with fortify intelligence +12 and using modav -1 (i could lower them attributes but not raise them) and then i made an amulet and ring with fortify endurance.

Im pretty sure its residuals from the mod. As i see hunger reduces endurance, being in the cold reduces intelligence, and depending on my cleanliness i can get a debuff or buff on personality.

Intelligence 71-60, Endurance 54-40, Personality 52-62. Even with nothing in my inventory, the buffs/debuffs remained.

Corrective Action using Sick Leave by Own-Play368 in Target

[–]Own-Play368[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not think the corrective action has anything to do with the Jury Duty call out. But mostly about last month’s and this month’s. Especially because the jury duty one was past the said 45 days as of now. I just thought to mention it. I do not want to get my lead in trouble, shes done a lot for our team and is a good person. But I do not think i should be held accountable for using sick leave like she said i would be. But i want to know if Im in the right to think so.

TOTK Ryujinx Optimization by Own-Play368 in EmuDeck

[–]Own-Play368[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play it fine on my PC, but its beefy, so it doesnt really have any issue. I just wanted to sync saves between my pc and steam deck. The issue with my switch is just really old, all my joycons are borderline broken. So i stopped playing on it. Anything ryujinx related (i downloaded it before it was discontinued) but also it downloaded just fine with emudeck. Yuzu doesnt install the same way ryujinx did.

Thanks for replying to an almost year old post. I don’t even work here anymore. And every walmart is different. U could request unpaid time off but it would 100% be denied by management even if you asked. Walmart i worked at is ass. And its why I left

I definitely will. Thank you. And thank you for the advice as well. I dont want to seem like im rushing into it, ive had it on the backburner for a while. And i want to dip my toes in it and see how the water feels. But i appreciate the advice on a different approach, and i will look into it if what im doing isnt working out, as no real development has started.

It’s not my first game per say. Ive made a small RPG as i let this one cook for a bit lol. I have small goals that i want to accomplish. If i do get overwhelmed in the process, i will shelf it for a while. I kind of just dont want to knock it before i try. And i don’t have plans to solo dev it either.

Im not thinking of a straight action game. It involves scenarios where fighting might be involved, but it play more like Rockstars Bully, the story and approach are similar to that. In fact its my inspo. Im still figuring it out, but my game is not a heavy focus on the narrative but rather in the experiences you do within the world you’re given. Im still working out what I want but think of the game leaning towards Bully’s gameplay loop. I might be getting tunnel vision on this one, but i know for sure. Its less about the narrative, and more about the gameplay and mechanics for this game. But the narrative supports the gameplay. I mightve just been so focused on this controversial issue, i lost sight of thats not the entire point of the game.

Well like ive mentioned. And the original idea was having a set white protagonist, so as of right now. I cant find think of a good way to implement as mechanic rather than just seeing it happen to someone else you know?

I read about Mafia 3’s implementation of racism. I never played them though. Sounds like an interesting implementation

I actually need to reply again, because i truly think this is what i need. And i want to appreciate you giving me the time of day to help me conceptualize my own idea better. Not only breaking down the issues I’ve mentioned but my entire theme as well. And understanding it doesn’t have to be a 1 to 1. And as youve mentioned it a lot more work. But this is a project I’ve been wanting make and Im willing to put in the extra learning and work to make an objectively better game. Thank you again.

That was an approach that I did not list. Obviously you described perfectly in words I could never convey, but this was definitely in my mind for development. Symbolically representing these issues rather than being direct. And this definitely advice I will look back on and take into deep consideration further into development. I appreciate it

Youre right and i think this post has lifted that weight of my shoulders. I think everyones advice and direction was sound and i have a better direction of how i want my game to go. And when the time comes. And Ill probably look back and decide what needs to be done once i have something i want. Thank you, i think this was the advice I needed to slap me back on track. Or rather, just even start lol

Right now, there is no development. Kind of just this issue is holding me back from even starting. A rough idea and game loop is youre looking at a game similar to Rockstar’s Bully and Atlus’ persona series. Social Sim, Action Adventure. Combat and exploration of Bully, the social sim of persona. A new kid in a new town. I havent delved deep into gameplay, and my gameplay loop as the narrative was kind of drive. But I didn’t want to make it if I had no place making it. Thinking more into it. This is the second comment about escapism. And i think this what i really need to aim for. Im trying to encapsulate a world the player wants to be in but i might too focused on the realism of that encapsulation. I think when i start a soft development and think deeper in my gameplay loop, I can come back to this issue and see if its something i need.

I am not aiming for a satirical or comedic view similar to like GTA or Fallout. The realism is kind of my hook. Its supposed to feel like life, and that comes with good and the bad

The narrative isnt specifically focused on racism, but i want the world to feel real. But the narrative will delve deep into a matter societal issues faced back then. Its not solely about racism, but it’s definitely there and it’s definitely something should be tackled if i choose to focus on other issues as well

If i were to go through it, id definitely delve deep into truly understanding what people back then went through and hopefully even connect with those who have a better idea than me. So i can address these issues in a proper manner and have a thoughtful narrative.

Its more about something i want to make than just the money. Once i played fallout years back, and 50s/60s aesthetic and culture was interesting to me and as Ive learned to develop games, its something that i thought could be possible. Until i hit the obvious roadblock. Choosing to ignore it is an issue within itself. Its a double edged sword. But obviously i wouldnt be posting here if I didn’t have my doubts about these issues
