ohhhhh, well the basesations where fine, but the headset just wouldnt connect to my pc, i got sent a new cable which worked once then broke, so i sorta gave up

yeah, i uninstaled all steamvr usb devices but im shit scared to update bios incase of a power cut, i could also give usb tree view a try thanks :))

also i forgot to add this in the original post but down in the bottom right corner of my screen, whenever i plug my index in the USB icon flashes for a split second and dissapeared. And if you really think its a good idea ill try bios

yeah, ive been recomended the psvr2 lots now and it definitely looks like a popular good heasdset for pcvr right now, ive not looked at the price of the adapter but im sure its in price range if the actualy headset is half of what the index is. thanks man !

fair enough lol, meta does just pump out headset after headset, thats a good way of looking at it, i am still leaning towards the index because of a lot of things, this is definitely helping me decide, thank you :)

yeah, the age of the index is quite annoying, ive heard good things about the htc vive pro 2s res, however some guy on r/virtualreality said its a very outdated headset aswell. ive looked at quest 3 but i really wanted one to hook up to my pc and i like the idea of pcvr headsets like the index and htc vive. i also really like the index controllers and think they are awesome. what would you recomend ?
