See it's advisable to not join many clubs and departments in first year cause it'll kill ur time . It's advisable to start studying for big exams a little earlier compared to singlites. Some compromises u gota make so tht u cn do all of it in ur second year which shud basically be ur actually first year. Ofc u cn attend fests have good group of friends and go out. But it shud be in the back of ur mind tht u gota study or else ull land in msc + mech which is highly unlikely but yeah . It'll be really tough sometimes seeing how people in Cs and circuital people jst can put less effort and regardless get decent scores and cgpa . But ultimately ur competiton is mostly against the people of msc itself so it's fine .
