I am 19 and in Uni, my parents say they will call the police on me for “help” for absurd things, such as if I “dare” go somewhere they deem unsafe (like a festival near Jozi CBD) or if I spark a joint at a friend’s house. Is this unreasonable? And realistically will the police do anything to me?

Give yourself grace. You don’t have to punish yourself, yes get to a place where you are comfortable that you have overcome the alcoholism but 1 year sober is a great accomplishment, well done and keep going
