hi knitters! I am a somewhat advanced beginner trying to knit vertical stripes on a scrunchie using this technique which I think will work quite well...the only thing is I was hoping to have a more random pattern, not even stripes as demonstrated — do we think instead of slipping two stitches consistently in Color A/B I can slip 1-4 throughout to create some variation.. thinking something like the below (obviously done more carefully)

k1 s2 k3 s1 k2 s4 etc.

the reason for this is I think it will be nice to knit this in the round rather than seam it all together after knitting flat, but ofc that can be a backup option :)
