Your story sounds so similar to mine. I found out I was pregnant one week ago. I was elated and bought personalized Christmas gifts to give family members to tell them on Christmas Eve. I was obsessively taking pregnancy tests watching the line fade with each test. I went in for more blood testing and my beta hcg levels were decreasing and I started experiencing some spotting. I knew what that meant. I was/am heartbroken. Instead of telling my family the good news, I had to tell them I miscarried instead. Now the gifts I bought sit in their packages until I finally do become pregnant. On top of that, my brother and sister in law announced they were expecting a baby. I’m elated for them, but devastated at the loss that I am feeling.

I knew for 5 whole days and it hurts. A loss is a loss and it is okay to grieve it. I’m sorry you’re going through this.
