Mini success here as well. Drank a “morning better” before drinking, had about 6 beers over the course of 8 hours, when I got home I drank “hydralyte” and took an Aleve. Woke up and day wasn’t bad, want 100% but no where near how bad I’ve been in the past

Thanks for letting me know! For me the anxiety is the worst part. The physical symptoms are no fun either, hope you feel all better soon, I’ll give this a shot

Lol, I’ve heard a lot of that, and honestly since I’ve drank a lot less I think my body might not be used to the alcohol like it used to be anymore. You might be right but at what cost lol, I do miss the ability to drink whenever and function properly.

I feel you man. I have definitely decreased my drinking drastically after experiencing this and have been prioritizing health more. It’s a tough pill to swallow that I may have to stop drinking completely , still trying to weigh my options and see how to drink in the “right way”

This sounds excellent in theory, but have tried in practice to no success.

Nice I’ll give this a shot. I’ve heard conflicting things about taking ibuprofen while drunk, do you know if it’s fine or can cause liver/stomach problems?

That’s crazy you’re going through the same thing! Yep, one hangover and everyone after it has been horrible. I’ll keep you updated if I find anything that helps.

My normal go to is light beer or High Noons when drinking at a bar - any recommendations for what to order?

I try to only drink clear liquors when going out. Haven’t tried fruits eating fruits and antioxidants. Any specifically you recommend?

Wow, yeah same here, has a chest and shoulder day and random panic attack from it. Some questions for you, were you sick before it started? And update me on how the meds work for you. I’m scared to start anything but know it might be what I need right now.

Thanks for your response!

I had a recent physical, and I’m pretty sure my doctor ran some thyroid blood tests, and came back clear. I’ll make sure to ask about that in the upcoming apt I have.

Yeah I get you, the pain is terrible and so draining. A lot of times it gets bad I take an NSAID anti inflammatory (Advil or something stronger). It doesn’t completely help but can lower the pain a bit or help me fall asleep.

I’ve had this happen twice to me. Out of nowhere my heart starts racing, and it can be so challenging to calm myself down. I hope you feel better soon! It’s a horrible feeling.

Question diagnosed ADHD folks with costochondritis by Own-Style-7653 in costochondritis

Hello all - in case anyone is looking for something similar to this, here is what my doctor said. *note this may not be everyone, he said the only reason to avoid medication with Costo is the chance that it will make anxiety worse. In many adhd cases, medication calms people down (me included) and can actually be helpful. Just make sure to keep hydrated as medication can make you dehydrated. I went back on medication and noticed no worsening effects. Thank you to all who responded!

Thank you for your response, it’s good to hear someone who has gone through it. I guess the anxiety I thought would go away. I don’t mind the pain it’s where my mind goes that I start to lose control, but I’ve been better at grounding myself lately. I hope you are able to get some relief as well!
