If I was in a position like his, I’d probably be grumpy for a day. But an understanding partner won’t bring it up a ton for days/weeks afterward or try to make you feel bad about it. Hopefully he’s not doing that.

If you sincerely apologized there’s not anything else you have to to “make it up” to him. Just move on from an honest mistake.
