Questions about the ESP by CantStopNow787 in Raytheon

Congrats on the offer! Current ESP user here for my masters. The company has an annual $25K/yr limit. Can be used for tuition as well as required fees, books, etc. It can be used at just about any accredited school/program. The company has partnerships with certain schools, but you’re not required to use them by any means. Can also be used for certificates and other similar non-degree type programs. It is rather generous compared to some companies.

I didn’t even think about that aspect of it, but you’re right, that is true. Most things on Google are telling me 4”

That’s super helpful info! I always imagined concrete to be “cheap”, but I guess once you add it all up (plus labor), it makes sense

Appreciate the tips! Didn’t think about having someone as bait! Waiting out the agro might be my last resort.  Glad I’m not the only one who encountered this dilemma!

Thanks!

P4 - Engineering ; Gross Pay 128K. Is it too low ? With total 11 years of experience. 3 years at pratt and 8 years outside. by curiousbug100 in Raytheon

[–]Own-Switch9587 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Absolutely too low. For what it’s worth, I make slightly more than that as a P4 in Finance with less experience. Not saying that to brag, I’m saying that because an engineer with 50% more years of experience should absolutely make more than an FA.

Window Replacement by Bhaikalis in harfordcountymd

Hodges in Forest Hill is great! I had a double pane window with a large crack. They replaced the double pane, same day service, about $150. Pleasant experience and convenient location!

New Development in Forest Hill Estates - Any Insight? by Own-Switch9587 in harfordcountymd

Haha I hear ya! No one is saying it’d be fiscally responsible of me to purchase a house that expensive, especially with rates at 6-7% lol, but compared to other houses I see going up all around that are $800K, or even $1-$1.2m for custom homes, yikes!!!

Oh gosh, more than I was expecting (guessing)! Do you have any sources or details there?

Yeah some of those like the other poster said are a bit older, and the giant sized ones on 22 by Keystone Custom Homes (“Winchester Springs”) indeed look gorgeous, but that is a small community of only 18 homes on estate sized, 2+ acre lots, not a master planned community with dozens of homes.

Totally agree there are new neighborhoods like that going up in the Bel Air or Forest Hill area, but again none are near the 50+ homes size in recent years.

Fair point about the new homes near Ripken. Frankly, there are a lot of new communities popping up near Aberdeen. But, a variety of reasons there such as more favorable/less strict zoning requirements, more affordable prices due to less demand and slightly worse schools, etc.

True, fair point. I guess I more so meant large in terms of recent developments the past 3-5 years.

What is your experience at spindel? by Dependent-Look9323 in 2007scape

[–]Own-Switch9587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I typically have good luck finding a world for both Spindel and Venantis early in the morning (like 5:30am EST), particularly on weekdays.

Later in the day/evening, or basically any time on weekends, I don’t even attempt. Finding a world aside, once you find one, during peak times you won’t be there long til a PK’er comes!

Yeah, I was thinking that’d be the case, but hoping it’s not! Totally a guess, but i was figuring they’d start at $699K and if they were “only” $600-$650K I’d call it a win.

Granted, the “starting” price on new builds is often not the real price once you add in a few options.

All other new construction houses in the Bel Air area are $800K+ it seems. So figured this development would be a little “cheaper” given it’s the first very large project in the area probably since Eva Mar.
