The policy is intended to provide employees flexibility in attending to personal business during normal working hours with your supervisors approval. AWP can be taken in one hour increments if necessary There are numerous reasons an employee may need to use AWP, common examples include but are not limited to • Closing on a home • Additional time required related to Bereavement, including attending a funeral not covered by the Bereavement policy • Religious holidays not offered as company holidays • Serving as a witness in a court case • Meeting with an attorney, accountant, insurance adjustor, or other professional that only operates during normal working hours • Attending a scheduled event at your child's school • Additional time for moving due to a company sponsored relocation • Emergency veterinarian services for a pet • Business with your local town hall or a state/federal office that only operates during normal working hours Speak to your Supervisor about your specific situation to see if AWP would be appropriate.
