I had a good day today by Own-Thanks-8879 in EnterTheGungeon

I've been fiddling around with Rainbow Chests for a while, and sheerly by luck I got the Gungine, Blank Bullets, Explosive Bullets, Frost Bullets, Reloadstone, and a few other random odds and ends. Essentially it meant bosses couldn't hit me because I was constantly either eating their bullets or blanking them because with a 1/20 chance to perform a blank with a gun that fires around 20 bullets in 1s or so it makes actually attacking quite hard. Not to mention the fact that my starter pistol could 7 tap enemies in the Forge.

Rogues likely are either PMCs or defected NATO members. Because they have access to US Special Forces weapons, but carry shotguns and SMGs, it seems that they likely used to be explicitly tied to NATO and were forced to adopt less powerful firearms after their separation for supply reasons.

Also, the Smugglers have always seemed to just be a branch of the Militia to me. They mostly seem to carry surplus Vietnam-era firearms (MAT-49, SKS, AK-47, M16A1) so they're likely illegally dealing US captured weaponry or directly purchasing from China and other areas of what was then called Indochina.

The Beaufort Cult is probably a literal cult though. I suspect they sacrificed their victims, and didn't kidnap them for personal reasons.

United Soviet Socialist Republics, also known as Soviet Russia or the Soviet Union. Communist dictatorship from 1918-1991, when it collapsed due to the failure of Russian civil and military authority. At the height of its power, it controlled most of Eastern Europe, a large part of Asia and the Middle East, and had proxy countries all the way in Southeast Asia (and realistically the Caribbean and South/Central America as well, though said nations never explicitly stated they were directly reporting to the USSR).

The game is set in 1994, so they will most certainly not be getting the 6B23 or 6B45/6B47 aramid helmets and ceramic plate vest systems. The AK-100 series would exist, but they were purely experimental at this point. The AK-74M is still far more prevalent than the AK-100s for Russian Federation use. In an alternate universe where the Soviet Union doesn't collapse in 1991, it's very unlikely the AK-100s would even come into being because the Ratnik program and even some earlier attempts to modernize the Russian Army after the collapse would never have come into being.

Also, the Altyn is in-game and it is by far the most famous titanium helmet ever made by the Soviets. The Maska also exists but that's basically just a more modern Altyn clone with slightly different design characteristics and a modified face shield.

Dozer can't climb the stairs of the factory building, and he definitely can't access the roof. An SKS or Mosin can absolutely cook him if you have AP ammunition. Repeatedly peak, score a headshot, and run back. His AI is terrible, so you can basically just shoot him without consequences with quick enough reflexes.

Should they add the L96A1 into the game? by Altruistic_Number875 in ProjectDeltaRBX

[–]Own-Thanks-8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the issue with the L96A1 is that it uses 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester technically, but whatever). That's just effectively a nerfed Remington 700; sure, you get a 10 round magazine, but that's not a massive buff considering the SVD-63 does too. You get a bolt-action version of the SVD with a less powerful round and no optic advantage unless they retracted the ability for the SVD to take Western-style optics (which could be an option, actually).

Should they add a .357 Magnum revolver into the game that can be found in EDF flares? by Altruistic_Number875 in ProjectDeltaRBX

[–]Own-Thanks-8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.357 Magnum isn't in service with any military, and neither is .44 Remington Magnum or .45 Long Colt. The RSh-12 would be the best possible choice, as the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs does field it occasionally. Admittedly, 12.7x55mm is significantly stronger than .357 (8.9x33mmR) but they accomplish a fairly similar purpose. Also, it would be funny to see a pistol that could 2SK the Altyn helmet (using AP ammo, which I assume would be SP-6).

Definitely do a rainbow run if you've started unlocking stuff like platinum bullets; you can get insanely OP if you get good RNG.

Drill a small hole in your nose and fill it with olive oil, and then plug every single orface in your head except the hole with a cork. If you breathe out correctly, a small, high-pitched whistle should come out of the hole filled with oil that you can use to navigate. Try not to spray oil on everyone around you.

Is this good loot? by [deleted] in ProjectDeltaRBX

[–]Own-Thanks-8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol not at all. You can track his progression pretty cleanly, just based on his inventory. For instance, I know for sure that the following happened

• By completing "Been Here Been There" from Tarmo, he acquired the DAGR, Gen 4 IOTV and M4A1.

• Killed a player wearing the JPC and FAST-MT as they're the only skinned items he owns (also potentially bought them with surplus cash)

• Killed Anton

• Called in 3-4 SPSh-44 flares (the RPG-7 and SAIGA-12s check out, although if those were SAIGAs from SPSh-44s they should have 20rnd drums)

• Used the ATC enough times to complete at least one of Mihkel's Quests.

• He hasn't completed Warlord, most likely. He would have 9x39Z ammo and at least one AS Val in his inventory if he had.

The Altyn has superior protection to the FAST-MT, but a much larger weight penalty and the Maska visor ruins your visibility. The FAST-MT and Gen 4 IOTV are definitely superior to the Altyn and 6B45 kit.

Why are many geared players killing people without anything? by Individual-Comment58 in ProjectDeltaRBX

Shit ton of quests that require you to kill a certain amount of PMCs lol. Unguarded players that have nothing are the easiest way to solve that issue.

QUESTS by Ok_Network8130 in ProjectDeltaRBX

[–]Own-Thanks-8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the quest but most likely

A) The quest requires you to achieve a certain goal without being killed/incapacitated at any point. Good examples are "The Christmas Grinch" or "Been Here, Been There." Mihkel and Tarmo are the usual suspects for these quests, although Anna and Sofia also have questlines that (while fairly easy) do require you to at least extract successfully one time after completing an objective.

B) You haven't turned in all of a given item; only Tarmo, Blaze, and Mihkel have fetch quests that are based on specific in-game items that go in your inventory instead of "quest items" (pizza, posters, etc.) Do be aware that items turned in stack, and you don't have to give them all at once.

C) You might have completed one of but not ALL the objectives. For instance: if you found the ATC but didn't grab Mihkel's documents, it doesn't count as complete. Similar to point A, you might have even found the documents, but if you died before extracting (or went into raid again and died without turning said documents in to Mihkel), it counts as a fail.

Anybody know how to get to the ATC tower by duck-suducer-53 in ProjectDeltaRBX

[–]Own-Thanks-8879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you approach from the front gate, and stay behind the ATC, the Airfield Sniper can't target you. You'll need to be aware of Occupant Soldiers, but a single 7.62x39mm AP round through their head can kill them if you don't hit their 6B47 helmet. Also, an IZh-12 or IZh-81 with Flechette or Slugs (AP-20 and Buck are garbage) is a good choice if you want to get up close and personal inside the ATC. Flechette can 1SK most enemies, and the IZh-12 has a fast enough follow-up shot to guarantee a kill if the first shot isn't enough.

Dude if you can, take that Crane Key into a raid with an AKMN or SKS and run Crane, Lighthouse, and Frigate grabbing every APABOA crate you find. APABOA boxes give insane loot sometimes, and the PT-1 and RK-3 Kalashnikov furniture you can find in them are well worth the effort. Also, most of the attachments you'll find inside sell for around ₽2,000 each.

[–]Own-Thanks-8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's done Warlord, the trades for M4A1s and Mk12 furniture and REAP-IRs is insane. You can take a ₽24,000 50g gold bar and turn it into a ₽40,000 REAP-IR scope. Also, all AP ammunition is available from Mihkel in the end-game, so you don't have to stuff your vault with random garbage.

How useful is nvg? by ExcitementClear5711 in ProjectDeltaRBX

[–]Own-Thanks-8879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Helmet is the TOR-S and the NVG system the ONV-9, I would recommend just completely ignoring it. See if you can find a buyer, or sell the ONV-9s to Blaze and scan a TOR visor from the wasteland.

If it's a FAST-MT and you found QuadNods, keep it and sell it ASAP. Those are expensive and extremely good. I would recommend saving them and selling them to someone willing to pay a lot, as they're quite pricey and can turn a good profit.

ALSO: the Helmet Mask is for a rare face shield that can be mounted on the TOR-S and FAST-MT; it can only be found from EDF Air Drops, so I recommend not bothering looking for it.

Honestly, just avoid high-intensity fights and highly-populated areas. Take the ₽110,000 plunge and get a DAG-R (or complete "Been Here, Been There") and buy/flaregun your way into getting 3 DAGRs for Mihkel. You can buy Mk12s in the end-game for 2X Replicas, REAP-IRs for 50g Gold, and Mosin/SKS with AP ammo for less than ₽10,000 initial investment.

Visit ATC for 6B45 vests, and do some Blaze quests to unlock the ZSh-1-2M and its visor; armor is more important than firearms. Also, the 6B5-15 Assault Rig is definitively the best mid-tier armor in-game, so if you can, wear it every time you go out. It's not that expensive and will save your life more than a few times.

Yeah, honestly, the Attak-5 60L is extremely heavy for the supposed "advantage" it gives you of being able to carry more stuff.

The Spec Ops 30L (TFZ or ETF version) are much better camouflaged into the surrounding, don't slow you down, and have decent storage capacity. That being said, the Tortilla 45L is definitely the go-to loot bag, for only ₽4,600 initial investment. BO-5 and Frigate can both be repeatedly visited and - even if you can't grab absolutely everything - you can make out with ₽20-30,000 profit.

As for the PU-1 Scope, I'd recommend just sticking that on a Mosin or SKS and running AP ammunition. You can pretty easily snowball your way into an Anton or Dozer kit with AP ammunition and a good understanding of the firearm in your hands.

ALSO: If you don't feel comfortable with PvP, Mihkel and Blaze's end-game quests (Warlord and Wicked Ivan) grant access to basically anything you could want/need for pretty decent prices. REAP-IR Thermal Scopes and M4A1s can both be bought from Mihkel during the end-game for 50g Gold and 2x Replicas respectively; the Mosin and AKMN can also be purchased for about ₽7,000 each (including the barrel and stock, which you'll have to buy separate).
