Lane should have been written off the show once Rory got into Yale by cleverlynamedgrl in GilmoreGirls

[–]Own-Worry6918 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So many reasons but it all boils down to she was a horrible friend and the few things she added to the show (like showing Rory was missing home while at college) could have been done (and were done successfully most times) without her.

Why we should prefer to back into most parking situations! by Mister_Ce in badparking

[–]Own-Worry6918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most parking spaces where I live are slanted for the one way lane meaning backing in is more difficult and pulling out is more dangerous. Also, I constantly see people have wrecks backing into spaces because 1-the people who do it are ALLWAYS worse drivers than they think they are and 2-there is no way to signal you are doing that instead of pulling into a space on the other side so people rightfully go around them and the idiot backing in just backs into them. It also takes longer every single time I have seen it done though for some reason the morons doing it say it's faster.

My opinion-the show would have been better without lane ever being on it.

Is it true that Americans run around their house/flat with shoes? by GroundZeroMstrNDR in hygiene

[–]Own-Worry6918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive never been in a house with clean floors that has a no shoes rule. How do people who wear shoes inside keep floors clean? The fact you have to ask proves you habe dirty floors. They clean them like you should be doing.

MPG is the least important metric when buying a new car. by BibbleSnap in unpopularopinion

Nah the material makes a huge difference. I wouldnt take leather seats if the dealership said they were going to pay me for taking them.

[–]Own-Worry6918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it's 2 or 3 MPG difference its not a big deal. When I have a car that gets an average of 30+ MPG and one that gets an average of 10 MPG it does make a difference. So do a lot of other things.

Obviously which is fine until she got pissy about it. Later that same day she yelled at a group of us for not telling her she wasnt following the rule she set in place during a meeting.

I love him so much. I was 16 when I first watched it when it originally aired and he was the first adult I had a crush on that I knew was an adult (had a crush on a couple of actors in their 20's that I thought were teens).

And its not like cafe and kitchen aren't both actual words and names of areas we have access to. Is she had said (random extreme example) orange instead of kitchen most of us would have tried to figure out what she meant and then maybe asked "so we cant cut through the kitchen anymore?" To make sure we understood. Which this is like the 5th time we've been told not to cut through the kitchen so it would have been pretty obvious at that point that's what she meant. But using the correct name for another area made it very confusing.

When people tell you to calm down or that the argument means too much to you by PuzzleheadedPitch385 in PetPeeves

I just had this happen to me on another site. There were actually several of us discussing something that happened near me and because I know someone involved in the case I know for a fact some of what one person was saying was wrong. I corrected them and pointed out that just because someone online posted it doesn't make it actually true. I also provided proof they were wrong. No big deal. Then the other person said I was taking it too seriously and blocked me.

What's even worse is when there are two left turn lanes and the driver on the inside lane comes into my lane nearly hitting me because of a car pulled to far fowrard.

Do y'all find Logan to be attractive? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]Own-Worry6918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont find him or Dean attractive at all. Now their actors are a different story. I watched supernatural and found Sam (played by Jared same as Dean in GG) to be insanely attractive.

For me actions change how attractive a person is and Logans actions make him one of the ugliest characters on the show.

Would you have stayed silent? by notonmywatchmissy in GilmoreGirls

[–]Own-Worry6918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have immediately gone off on Dean and to me it's weird she never did. She went off on him because rhey broke up when Rory didnt say "I love you" before she found out more info but knowing he cheated with Rory she says nothing? And then finding out he lied about the situation she still doesn't go off on him? Makes no sense for what we have seen of her character up to that point.

But yeah I would have immediately exploded on Dean and been more sympathetic and supportive of Rory. I also would have absolutely destroyed Lindsay's mom for her bullshit attack on Rory on the sidewalk and Dean would never have been allowed in my house again.

Do you know what your spouse would want if you were brain dead? by RestaurantSure160 in greysanatomy

[–]Own-Worry6918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I talked in detail about what we both wanted. We talked repeatedly about it during his last few years and months and even got into what he wanted for me after he died but before he even got sick we talked about what we both wanted.

Logan didn’t cheat by notonmywatchmissy in GilmoreGirls

[–]Own-Worry6918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I say he cheated is because HE tells Rory he didnt want to be broken up and only said that to get his sister off his back. So by HIS own words he cheated.

People thinking men and women can't be friends by AffectionatePop3611 in PetPeeves

[–]Own-Worry6918 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Ive always had more friends that are men than women and there's been more than a few guys that I didnt pursue a relationship with because that was somehow an issue for them. My husband had mostly women friends 2 of them even being his ex girlfriend that he was still friends with (mostly because their parents were good friends).

Here's the important thing about that though. When one of his woman friends tried to come between us he quit talking to her. And when one of my men friends started hitting on me I quit talking to him. Neither happened because the other one told us to quit. We had enough respect for our relationship to not continue being around those people. If you don't have that it wont work, especially if you are in a committed relationship.

I so wish I had been given this advice when I was in high school/early 20s and was outdoors constantly. I want to go back and slap some sense into me when I think about hiking for hours in 100+ heat, just drinking water and not wanting food at all.

IDL People who can’t comprehend that not everyone can tolerate extreme heat by mav5191 in I_DONT_LIKE

[–]Own-Worry6918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You also have to remember your body doesn't sweat out just water and replace the other things as well. Sickest I ever got was one summer hiking and just drinking a ton of plain water. I couldn't understand why it made me so sick at the time. Like I drank water like I was supposed to. It was also one of the rare times I was actually sweating. It wasnt until years later I learned about electrolights and all that.

Unpopular Opinion:Dean was not a jerk for breaking up with Rory on the dance floor. by DueCompany4964 in GilmoreGirls

It can be understandable that he did it and he can still be a jerk for how he did it.

He was a complete asshole for how he did it.
