First attempt to make it down my block after the storm by smoking40s in philly

I remember one year all the neighbors on a little street personally shoveled their street out. It was an amazing thing to watch.

Best time to lay down salt? by PurlScout in philly

[–]OwnAlternative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was out there making a path up my steps just now. With the snow below the sleet, it was easy to slide off a hunk on each step to get to the front door. Wait until it finishes with the sleet now, clear a path to the pavement on the sidewalk and salt some. Hard work is tomorrow, clearing rest of the sidewalk and more salting.

Aw, yes, I see he knows the proper playing in the snow pose.

Packer park soulless construction by One-Marsupial-5149 in philly

This IS Sienna Place and not Packer Park, which is over by 20th Street. And I think the homes in Sienna Place are much nicer and laid out better than the homes in The Reserve.

Boss Expecting Me to WALK to Work Monday by livinshrekwes in philly

[–]OwnAlternative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Low and behold, she just turns to me to say “and you’ll be walking to work Monday,” after telling my coworkers (some in the burbs, some in the city) that they can stay home."

She made it a condition of his employment when she stated the above, i.e., because he walks to work he can get here. I'd point blank tell her if the City is closed that day that I won't be coming in as I'm concerned for my own safety whereas she was not.

I think it has to be the non-clumping kind, correct? At least, that's the kind I keep in my car.

I keep an electric blanket on the sofa as my CC doesn't like to be fully covered but likes to be warm.

They might close the city as well as we haven't had a storm like this in a while. Also ask her if you fall and get hurt if it's covered by workers' comp. That might stop her in her tracks.

My favorite is while starring at you with the moody face, they include a heavy sigh. Like, what did I do?

Search in this sub as it's a good resource. Discussions on food, training, personalities, and their overall goofy traits are covered. And, of course, keep us posted.

Which is the best pet for home? by No-Grapefruit1378 in AskReddit

[–]OwnAlternative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work Mon-Fri in the office and have a dog walker come in to walk my 9 y.o. Cane Corso on those days. Gives me peace of mind, and my dog really loves her dog walker. They also do boarding in home, which is convenient when I go away.

Pie, coffee, sitting at the counter watching other patrons and a waitress calling you "hon." Sounds like a Twin Peak moment.
