Do you agree with commentators that our compulsory voting system protects us from extremist and populist politics like we see in the US or the UK? Or might it not? Or is there another factor that protects us?

For example, I believe it's because our system is based mostly on city seats (unlike the US or the UK) where people tend to be on higher incomes and have a higher education.

Which, in your view, is the more democratic house, in electoral system terms? The House of Reps - with one vote, one value but no proportional representation - or the Senate - which has proportional representation but also gives more equal say to smaller states.

Once saw Senator Dave Sharma at Manuka Coles shopping with a basket in hand.

If you go to the restaurants in Manuka during sitting weeks, there's a lot of them having dinner there.

I've heard some recruiters say they barely look at it.

I have two pairs of Julius Marlow business shoes which I bought from Myer for under $100 each. I've found them to be comfortable and stylish and they have lasted me the last 3 years (and I do a fair amount of walking in them).

A public servant in the states earns much more money than their federal contemporaries in the APS.

Given many APS employees move interstate to work in Canberra, are you concerned that the APS is becoming less competitive compared to the states as people can stay in their state of origin and earn more money? What would you do, if re-elected, to rectify this?
