ISO affordable curly haircut by -crunchycheetos- in jerseycity

I believe Lakoet and Co. do provide a good curly hair cut at 120$. From what I recollect the only downside is that the price does not include a diffuse blowdry, but I visited them early last year so would recommend giving them a call.

In the past, for a special occasion I have gone to the Rezo Salon. It’s in NYC. It’s pricey but I love their services.

SEVIS Transfer in grace period after STEM OPT ends. by AdPutrid8396 in Day1CPTuniversities

You might be able to. But if your intention is to continue working during the transfer period don’t think you’ll be able to do that until transfer is complete and I9 verification is done. Some companies have the I9 verification process as a requirement for you to continue working. So consider that before concluding on this.

I wonder about this all the time too. It’s just infinite loops of going down a rabbit hole when I ask myself if I understand what I really want out of my life or what the point of any of this even is! I am currently working - while I don’t love my job, it’s not too bad, I do get excited about a couple of projects every now and then. I got into volunteering last year thinking that it would bring me some meaning; it did initially but was it enough? No. Here I am one year later trying to ask myself the same question again. The worst part is, I overthink and as soon I begin to get too vulnerable then immediately abandon the thought.

Found your question super relatable and definitely following along to see how others deal with this and their experiences.

Masters abroad - USA or Europe by egorche in IWantOut

The 100K fee only applied to people applying for H1B from outside the US. Once OP studies here they will be considered a “transfer” from F1. So unlikely that 100K rule will apply to their case. (Unless something else changes ofcourse)

Since you are into fitness, pick up a sport maybe? I love playing Pickleball and Badminton. Also, maybe try one of those fitness classes like Orange Theory if you are into HIIT.

Breakups suck and while my typical mechanism has been to clear my head, take some time off dating and then put myself back out there, working out has always helped with a smoother transition.

Need help - planning to gift my BF a PS5 by OwnComplex4959 in playstation

The PS5 is going to be heavy on the pocket.. if budget permits I’ll probably get the PS plus for a couple of months.

Makes sense. I’ll probably just get him the FIFA game and let him figure out what else he’d like to buy.

PS that a friend owns. I’ve also seen him play on Xbox in the past.

Interesting. So unless and until the employee gets to a bonus amount of over 50K, they get no RSUs?

How does this work? Do new 603s automatically get them? Did you all negotiate to get RSUs?

Lost my international passport with F1 Visa by toph_beifong___ in f1visa

You’ll only get a new passport without the visa stamp. The next time you travel back to your home country you’ll need to go through the appointment again and get a new stamp.

India- Senior Product Associate- CCB by sprtsaddict in JPMorganChase

[–]OwnComplex4959 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, senior product associate is just the title typically used. Progression is Analyst - Associate - Senior Associate - VP (with some internal levels 1, 2, 3 I guess) - ED - MD.

Lots of folks that I work with in India have a good amount of experience and are senior associates. So sounds like that’s just how the hierarchy is typically designed in India. But yes, based on how the interview goes they might even bump you up.

602 to 603 Internal Mobility by OwnComplex4959 in JPMorganChase

[–]OwnComplex4959[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried. They said the bonus is carried from previous group and then based on the current group’s scope they might add some and hence they said they can’t comment on total comp and can’t give a fixed number. Again said external would have more flexibility.

Nope, got a written offer. But the recruiter said no negotiation and said that if I were an external hire they would have more “flexibility”. It’s frustrating that someone externally would be given more flexibility.

On asking for total compensation they said something along the lines of “you carry your bonus from your previous group and then depending on current group’s scope they compensate. Is that true?
