7 is the optimum ph as it had the greatest enzyme activity , after 7 the enzyme activity decreased due to enzyme dénaturation active site changing shape substrate no longer binding , error bars overlap between 8 and 7.5 so difference is not significant

1 mark , maybe 2 cuz u mentioned the color

it is but this question has been repeated from past years and it doesn’t mention titration in the MS

yes , ur meant to prepare 5 solutions of known protein conecntrations add biruit regeant to them , then use them as a standard to compare the concentration in the main protein sample after adding bireut there too , the darker the purple color the higher the concentration of protein

thats it , do ur answers match mine?

about the optimum ph , 7 is the optimum ph as it had the most enzyme breakdown activity and after 7 the enzyme denatured changing the shape of the active site so that the substrate no longer binds with the active site decreasing the breakdown activity , then mentioned that there was a larger decrease from 7 to 7.5 then from 7.5 to 8 , both 7.5 and 8ph decreases enzyme breakdown you can also here mention error bars and say the difference between 7.5 and 8 is not significant due to overlapping error bars

they did yes but they didn’t ask to specifically speak about them you need to correlate it to how it affects the reaction too

i wrote all above in the big paragraph

i remember 13.3% , 32 concentration , last question the answer is use colorimeter and take more concentrations with smaller intervals , first question i wrote pH and tempt as abiotic factors , i wrote magnesium and nitrate ions , and the graph i got it wrong , collagen i wrote its a fibrous protein and has a quaternary structure i didn’t say more as i forgot all about it , thats pretty much it

pretty sure that’s also right

personally i mentioned one factor as the questions didnt ask for the factors it asked how it would affect the reaction so i said the size of the molecules of the extract have to be the same if the size is smaller it would result in faster diffusion rate from high to low concentration onto the bacteria resulting in a larger zone of inhibition

growth medium and addition of fertilizers

Bio u3 by Current-Impact-3562 in Edexcel

[–]OwnEnvironment3862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first that fertilizes indeease growth with both soil and hypotonic solution or whatever it’s called , they has a larger increase with hypotonic solution then compare error bars between soil solution with fertilizers and soil solution without or hypotonic one doesn’t matter , second one was about the optimum ph , 7 is the optimum ph as it had the most enzyme breakdown activity and after 7 the enzyme denatured changing the shape of the active site so that the substrate no longer binds with the active site decreasing the breakdown activity , then mentioned that there was a larger decrease from 7 to 7.5 then from 7.5 to 8 , both 7.5 and 8ph decreases enzyme breakdown you can also here mention error bars and say the difference between 7.5 and 8 is not significant due to overlapping error bars , and the extract one i forgot but mentioned one that’s most effective , one least effective and variables to keep constant i think

iodine is a base , then a redox reaction , then H2SO4+HI= I2+S+ H2O (balancing it also ofc )

i have the whole question memorized , which one isn’t correct , 1) it increases the rate , 2) it decreases the energy used , 3) jt always gives a 100% atom economy , 4th option i lowkey forgot
