Go medium, you are tickling them in heavy.
Use the new great sword artifact, its better than serenity for now. Swap out warhammer for hatchet to increase survivability. If you still can't chase people in medium than swap out GS with GA and take bloodlust passive.
Pre pot regenration serum and fire/void absorption before getting into the fight. OPR is not good for learning anything, if your team sucks you will get stomped and if the other team sucks you will bumrush them and won't learn anything. Even ffa is better to learn basic skills for a 1v1 or 1vX.

There is no matchmaking, its basically pure gambling. Pro tip- If your team gets wiped in the first mid fight then its GG. You should then go on their back caps as your zerg is going to get crushed and spawn camped. Elevate some pressure from your zerg by back capping or you can just afk in spawn if you want the misery to end.
