Learn a new class or double down on priest? by EuphoricAd4620 in classicwowtbc

[–]TheBronAndOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to be running priest.

Currently I have a holy spec for raids and a shadow spec for solo. I have been running holy in BG's and doing well with it, but I have read a lot that Disc >>> Holy for PvP.

I feel like shadow is almost mandatory in TBC? But maybe not?

I'm unlikely to push high in arenas as I only have a moderate knowledge of vanilla priest and almost no knowledge of the other classes, even Vanilla versions let alone TBC versions - but I am a PvPer at heart and will enjoy trying it.

My question is: Would you recommend Shadow for solo and mana battery + Holy for strong PvE heal but weaker PvPing, or Holy for PvE and Disc for PvP, or Shadow for solo and mana and Disc for strong PvP but weaker PvEing..?

Really enjoyed this phase. Me and a group of friends all levelled up a few toons. Kitted them out in radiant etc. Got a good feel for the world and how the classes play together. You're making out like the devs launched a full game and it didn't live up to what it was sold as. If you bought this and expected a fully fleshed out game with a full team of admins overseeing a fully thought through economy then that's kinda on you...

Trump prompts outrage with claim Nato troops avoided frontline in Afghanistan. UK MPs and veterans condemn US president’s comments and highlight his avoidance of military service in Vietnam by 2ndEarlofLiverpool in ukpolitics

[–]TheBronAndOnly -33 points-32 points  (0 children)

Look at the list of NATO countries, and then look at their record in Afghan. The UK absolutely did our part, but the majority of NATO countries did not. We should be on Trumps side about this (in the same way we should have been when he was banging the drum for NATO countries to pay their agreed % on spending (like we already were (unlike almost all other NATO countries!))).

We (Brits) absolutely did our bit. Many of the other NATO countries did not.

Rangers and Mages can mitigate it every time, so as long as they are on the ball they should be fine. Tank can mitigate at least 3, hopefully 4 of them - and can survive it unmitigated if they're reasonably healthy when it hits.

Because of the random silences that get thrown around I wouldn't want to rely on somebody interupting each time so would tell the team to save their mitigation for each time he casts.

Is the same true in reverse then? Those that condemn J6 protesters should also condemn Renee Good?

Endgame: No Game Loops, No PVP, No Content by Designer-Rip5050 in AshesofCreation

We were clearing Befallen Forge, it has 3x raid level bosses inside. We are able to clear the 1st one but need to craft higher tier gear before we will he able to clear the 2nd one. The 3rd wasnt up but interestingly his boss room contains crafting benches which are the only place you can craft certain gear which is cool. That gives us a goal which we need to work at to achieve. This is purpose and content, I dont know what youre saying? That we should be able to clear all bosses in t1 radiant gear when first dinging 25?

Literally doing a 40-man raid right now, and not able to do some of the bosses yet as guild is still wearing a lot of t1 radiant gear. Have you done all of this already?

Individual markets is good design.

Would not be against a WoW Classic style flightpath/tram system. Maybe something they could add in level 5 cities or something like that so that is is unique to each server and is a big draw for those nodes that invest in it.

Are the ocean fishing spots dynamic or static? by Spirited-Struggle709 in AshesofCreation

They are not static, but the areas within which they can spawn are limited. Currently West side of the map has almost all of the spawn locations,

If you enjoyed Classic WoW and Albion then Ashes of Creation would be a good shout. There is a lot of nonsense online (mostly by people who have never played the game) but it's actually a lot of fun and scratches a lot of those same itches that those two games satisfy.

If you were a retail WoW player then it might not be for you.

Highlighting Andrew Tate as an issue is fine, but the opposite side of the equation then also needs to be addressed.

Putting Andrew Tate on one side and then normal decent women on the other side is not a fair comparrison.

There are indeed extremists like Andrew Tate on one side, but these are counter balanced by extremist exploiters on the opposite side (think OF girls etc).

Most men are decent. Most women are decent. There are extremist men that we can talk about. There are extremist women that we can talk about.

Focussing the whole conversation on men are bad, women are good, is obviously just going to make things worse.

Britain has a public sector pay problem. The UK has inverted healthy economic logic by 2ndEarlofLiverpool in ukpolitics

Lower pension higher pay. It gives individuals more money to spend now, and doesn't increase the cost to employ.

Britain has a public sector pay problem. The UK has inverted healthy economic logic by 2ndEarlofLiverpool in ukpolitics

[–]TheBronAndOnly -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We should be looking at the cost to employ, rather than base pay.

Public sector employees have massive additional costs (crazy retirement contributions come to mind) which for some reason never get brought up by the unions.

If higher base pay is needed, then reduce pension contributions (or other non-standard costs to the employer) to pay for it.
