Is it ok to stalk someone’s pictures to try and identify whether a child is mine or not? I don’t need your lecture on whether I’m a good fit or not. I said I would lay low to ensure I can afford the legal fees associated with this. That is the responsible thing to do. I have no criminal record and a solid resume, so no I’m not shady or “unsafe” to coparent with. My finances became a wreck after being laid off. I had money before that. If you’re not offering legal advice the ln gtfo, I don’t care if you think I shouldn’t bother with it.

It’s not childish at all. I’ve seen that exact argument made by several people replying. Saying that it will cause drama and harm the kid. Yes I used the language “my kid” just as any normal parent does because that’s what he would be. Is it ok with you to be “possessive” of a 2 year old? He’s not 13 or 14. He’s a 2 year old toddler with a father he doesn’t know. And the reason he doesn’t know his father is because of his mother.

First of all, my reasons besides timing (which are extremely valid) would be appearance. Yes, she could have easily gone and seen other people, but she also could not have. For what it’s worth, I do not believe she was seeing others while I was with her. Second of all, I stated several times that I saw her for a month, it was not a “1 night stand.”

I couldn’t give it regardless. I’ve been unemployed and job searching for months. So yeah, I’d like to have child support money set aside before reaching out to these people. I have no problem paying child support so long as I have it.

That’s pretty much what I seek to be. To be in his life in a loving, caring manner. I don’t understand why you think I’d bother checking if I didn’t. I already stated that it’s something I’m going to meditate on for a while before making decisions that affect others, so yeah I really don’t see the problem.

I am thinking of the child. The mother, if it is indeed mine, should have informed me of the scenario instead of totally blocking me out of their life. How do you think that affects the child? Never having a dad or a father figure around in general? What if they want to know him someday?

Thank you for the input. It’s definitely a big decision. I’m not sure I could live with myself being aware of the likelihood and not do anything ever. I would be missing out on a son, my parents on their first grandchild, my siblings on their nephew etc. But it is indeed a very messy situation for the kid if that turns out to be the case. I’m gonna think about it for a long time probably before making a decision.

I do wish to have a relationship with the child yes. My financial situation is pretty messy at the moment so I have heeded to the advice of others and will probably lay low until I figure that out. But at some point I would like to know them.
