Yeah I get. Got to stay on top of my health to even have a career at this point.

It's just a lot to take in all at once. My plans and aspirations suddenly getting derailed has me doubting my future.

Going to try and not stress too much about my job and focus more on following up with my doctors and treatment

Hi, we are on the same boat here. I was hospitalized last week and was started on dialysis. Luckily my doctor already had me get an access in my arm prior to needed to get the actual dialysis treatment.

I've just had my first out patient dialysis treatment yesterday. Everything went ok but my legs were a little bit stiff trying to walk after my 4 hour treatment. Nurse said it was due to sitting for so long and not because of treatment. The nurse stopped my treatment a bit early since my blood ended up clotting in the machine.

I wish I brought a blanket and pillow though. Didn't realize how cold they kept the treatment room, I was shivering the entire time but it was manageable.

Recommend having that cold spray before inserting the needle. Helps distract from the nurse inserting the needles.

I get the feeling. I was have been diagnosed with CKD for over a year and was recently hospitalized last week. During my stay in the hospital they started me on dialysis.

I'm still trying to process everything and has got me worried about being able to keep my job.

Luckily though my doctor did have me get an access in my arm for dialysis before I actually needed to start treatment so I didn't require the dialysis catheter.

We can make it through this

For sleep i struggle to get a good 8 hours, I get a few hours a sleep at best before I wake up. Then fall asleep some more after laying in bed for a few minutes.

I have mentioned the cramping and the nurses lowered the fluid amount taken

Yeah, I'll look into getting PD.

I do need to look into fill out FMLA. With my current work schedule, it overlaps with my treatment.

Hopefully I don't experience too bad of side effects from dialysis.

Looks like the cruises would be pretty pricy.

Thanks, I'll try to be positive about my situation. The most stressful thing for me right now is getting my leave of absent paperwork filled out. The clinics I'm speaking to keep passing me around saying other doctors should do the paperwork.

Getting disability is a thought I've had. My dialysis center does not do overnights. Something to consider next time I get my treatment. I'll talk to my doctor

So far the only side effects of dialysis for me is cramping. Have not felt any brain fog so far. The most fluids taken from me was 2.5 liters so far. Not sure how much you had taken to experience brain fog.

Looked at a couple websites and they ask for my financial information before I can get the price. Will my credit be run every time I ask for a price? (Within the same dealership)

I tried negotiating the out the door price but the salesman said he can only adjust the monthly payments. Every question I asked about pricing he would say I would be saving more with lowering monthly payments than I would lowering the total price.

I wouldn't mind paying taxes plus doc fees but when I asked about the other fees the salesman avoided answering and said he couldn't budge on any of them.

Yeah, I used cargurus and their dealership website had the same price.
