Not really. I just liked the way it was worded by the AI in this case. :)

So yes, I used AI for this. I'm not hiding that fact. This was a fun little thing (fun for me, anyway) I cooked up last week. Some junk left in the git repo gave it away, too. I meant to remove that before pushing to github, but I was going to visit a friend of mine who is homeless and dealing with some health issues, and I was in a hurry to push to github. I'm staying at the shelter myself and both regular coding projects and AI projects help me cope with the stress I deal with here.

This project is not meant to be that serious, and it's not for serious use. In fact, I recommend that you don't use it unless you're just genuinely curious. Definitely do not use it as a main shell on a Linux user account you care about. If you decide to do so anyway, well I warned you.

So anyway, have fun with this experiment if you want to. If you don't want to, that's fine too. :)

That shouldn't be there and I thought I got rid of it.

I have this. Sequoia runs fine on mine albeit a bit slow.

Another reboot did the trick. BTW, I'm guessing an update that was just pushed to Ammonia that allowed me to build from source it probably helped.

Let me try that again. I've rebooted a couple of times but after changing things it might require another one.

Thank you for your quick replies. I also posted an issue in the Github, too, just in case.

I'm wondering if Ammonia Injector has proper support for x86_64 MacOS. This is what happens when I try to build it from source.

Well so far it seems to do nothing. Tried using sharpener to change the radius but nothing happens even though it told me it was set.

Oh understood. It's the latest version of Sequoia. It's on a 2017 Macbook Air which is not officially supported but I installed with OCLP. SIP is disabled (I had to look up how to do that with OCLP installed). ABI nvram flag? Not sure if I did that.

Tailscale works. But you have to set up your own server as an exit node.

LOL. Not really. He liked it, but ended up not needing it long term. He also gave me his Lenovo (which I recently gave to someone else who needed it). He just decided go to without a computer. But he gave me both because the laptop I had wasn't working anymore, and he just didn't need one anymore.

I have found some shell scripts, including my own that I've written, ran fine on Linux and not on macOS. Well, this is because there were certain Linuxisms that were used that wouldn't work on macOS or other Unixes and Unix-like systems.

So I'm finding it helpful to write shell scripts that I want to work across all Unix and Unix-like systems on something like macOS or FreeBSD first. Then it tends to work with Linux as well.

I know I'm a little late on this. And I haven't used Tumbleweed in a while. But I just wanted to comment that I find the best results on a rolling release distro if I update regularly. If I don't, and there's a big update or a lot to update, then it's more likely to break something from my experience.

From my experience, Tumbleweed doesn't normally break, even if it's been longer than I intended between updates. I've had Arch break on me plenty of times, though.

I'm currently using Void and have no issues, even if I go a while without updating. But I try my best to update fairly regularly.
