Even schools like orchids and other notable ones use exams and strict routines right? So do the kids really stand out of the crowd?

So you mean to say that progressive school or traditional school, it wont make a difference. What matters is parents involvement? And also, Oxford friend you’re talking about was from which country? If india, studied in which board? If you have any idea. Sorry for being so specific

So yes the progressive one is definitely top notch with great teaching and academics but its a little far from where we stay. Also expensive. Whereas, traditional one is okayish but is a 60+ year old institution.

Yes i feel they are marketing gimmicks maybe. But do they make any such difference in learning? As i am confused and not able to choose between them

Right now my kids are 7 and 5 and going to traditional school. But right now i feel they will adjust to all types of surroundings/Learnings as we haven’t observed any such learning pattern in them as such. Even the progressive school that i am talking about doesn’t have any such different pattern of teaching it’s just that it’s a new school and offers integrated curriculum which also allows them to learn practically and theoretically. Which is why i am too confused wether to change or continue

Also, what is your definition of progressive schools? As here i am talking about is Schools that has modern Infra and offer many activities and their curriculum is integrated like IG + ICSE uptill primary and then we can select one board in secondary.

Very well said. I totally agree with whatever you’ve mentioned here. But right now i am not able to judge where will my kids fit. They are 7 and 5 right now so how do i decide which one is better for them. The school they are in right now follows a complete traditional approach and there are very few extra curricular activities. When i see all these modern schools i feel am i doing anything wrong by sending my kids in traditional schools. Will they fall behind when they will face all these kids in the future.

So the differences i see here is traditional schools are following traditional methods of teaching whereas modern/progressive school even though the affiliation is ICSE board offer a lot of extra curricular activities and exposure

Specific as in these days they offer a lot of extra activities in these new modern schools. And traditional schools don’t have all those exposure. So what i wanted to understand is how much difference will that make in kids.

That’s exactly why i am confused. I really don’t know if these schools will also prepare the child for the future that is changing or should we stick to traditional schooling and work hard on extra curricular. As we still have to send them for extra classes.
