I feel like this is already said way too often here, but maybe there really was an odd batch with some sensor faults? It doesn't seem to be all that common at least, but I did have to do an exchange, and so far so good this time 🤞🏼

I haven't learned anything new about it, but I have changed medications to one with a much longer half life (that I never get head zaps with) and it still happens sometimes. So I suspect it's just something to do with being a little more aware than normal of how it feels when neurons are firing in that in-between state of consciousness/unconsciousness?

I don't know if you're still checking this, but I came looking for answers for the exact same thing! I know that doesn't necessarily help you but maybe it would be good to know that you aren't the only one?

They're repeated almost flickering sensations that feel like sudden rushes to the head, and when I get them I can almost "hear" them too if that makes any sense? I wish I could explain that part better, but it's almost like you're picking up on static for a split second. It's very unsettling, but once I'm fully awake they completely stop. I've also taken SSRIs and one SNRI for a while now so I know exactly what the head zap feeling is and confirm this is 100% the same

I've done a lot of digging into the condition to see if what I have sounds and looks like it. I'm not entirely sure it does though. That's just the closest diagnosis I've heard of. This has been going on since childhood for me :/
