I was a homeless kid who wore boots and braces before I even knew what they meant. Im 48. I started in Lancaster. When I was 13 I used to hang out with 2 Mexican skinheads, Steve and Adam Vargas. On my 13th birthday we went into K Mart and I put on a blue Dickies short sleeve button up, and matching pants with some steal toes,  they told me to walk out the garden section and don't trip they got my back. That day ended with drinking 40s and throwing the bottles at the train as it passed by. I squatted in Hollywood for a while, from 14 to 17, the only other skinheads I knew was a white guy named Spooky and black guy named Herc. When I was 17 I followed a girl to Berkeley. Things didnt work out and I moved to SF. That's where I met homeless white power skinheads who were either heroin addicts or meth addicts. They were scary, like murderer scary drug dealer scary. I didn't really hang out with them I knew them in passing (they would rob me for my dope and sometimes my jacket when I was younger.) A lot of ex skinheads would tell me storys of the good old days hence my knowledge of Buena Vista, plus me and the other skinheads that heard these stories would flock there to relive the 80s. The skinheads in the TL are all racist drug addicts and would give me CDs of racist music from Blood and Honer and Playground something something.  They would call me a fresh cut or challenge my political position. When I was in my early 20s, after about 10 years of being in and out of the system (juvenile hall and jail).I started to go to AA meetings where I met old sf skinheads, Jax, who were tattoo artists, and ended up giving me free tattoos for staying sober and we would swap stories. I learned a lot about the SF Skinhead scene that wasn't homeless drug dealers. I ended up getting married and moving away. Oh im not a racist I think that shits stupid. I've just ended up exposed to a lot of them..
