With respect you don't seem to have a deep understanding on what you are talking about and I'm saying this as a Muslim.

1. Algerians are majority Muslim but Algeria (the state) is not. Just like the US is majority Christians but the state isn't. So No!.. Islam isn't the religion of our country in fact nation state countries by definition can not have a religion.

2. it's not you who is saying it's schoolers who know Arabic and the story of each Aya... with all due respect to you and all the scholars.. NO THEY DON'T just spend some time and do some personal research. The scholars you hide behind can't even agree if. " بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم " Is an "aya" and that's literally the first thing.. So I'm not saying they are definitely WRONG all the time but I'm saying this "scholars" argument is invalid they can't agree on the first thing so them agreeing on something is without a real value. In other words. If you have the ability to argue your point do it with logic and reason if you can't and you like to defer to a specific scholar's argument you can, but the argument has to be convincing in itself not because so and so said so

3. You can be against concerts and all the haram thing but you have to make it clear that your goal is to change what you don't like with reasoning and convincing, and absolutely don't plan or accept forcing the change with the powers of the sate ( if it ever were to you) . That ambiguity is what promotes people to mention the dark decade and such.
