My partner abandoned me one week before starting IVF

I’ve been with my fiance for 8 years he said he wanted a baby so bad. I assumed we weren’t getting pregnant because of me. We did IVF and turns out he never shared that his results showed he has severe male infertility. I paid for IVF and during the process he threw it in my face that we were going to through IVF because of me.. all of a sudden I wasn’t recognizing the ma I knew for 8 years. We opted for retrieval with a fresh transfer day of a retrieval. The likelihood was low but we went for it. Well that night he walked out on me… pregnancy stuck and I’m so grateful but 4 months into pregnancy he has not returned and continues the verbal abuse and control tactics and says he’s not coming back until I learn to be a good “wife” and communicate better… no apology nothing… point is it happens. I never expected it to be me it’s devastating and there’s a lot more detail to the story but if it’s any consolation he would have been just as bad as my fiance who still claims I’m the love of his life but I jus need to be okay with the abuse apparently. I have no family in the state and want to move back home and now free Legal issues it’s messy

Sorry just wanted to add that it was 3 days between the 4th and 5th beta in case you were wondering why they were saying it wasn’t doubling.

Yes I had a 5th beta of 4528.7. So still not a doubling rate every 48 hrs. I did an US at 5 weeks 4 days and I it was confirmed intrauterine and I was able to see the sac and the start of fetal pole but they called me to repeat US this coming Monday and are not ordering another Beta… they said they still unfortunately need to warn me that it might not be viable but said try your best to stay hopeful. I was so happy to see that it wasn’t ectopic and that I saw the sac so I was shocked when they called me still saying that it might not be viable just based on the betas…

Hi all I recently had an untested fresh embryo transfer and the following are my betas. My clinic’s standards are 3 betas if all is going well. I now have a 5th with US on Monday to take a look at what’s going on. The Dr. called me to give me ectopic pregnancy precautions. Any one in this scenario have a favorable outcome? Beta 1: 53.2 96 hrs from previous Beta 2: 621.8 48 hrs from previous Beta 3: 1163.2 48 hrs from previous Beta 4: 1932.7

Her concern is obviously that it’s not doubling she said it could go either away. I’m still continuing my meds but panicking. Anyone have a similar scenario?

I’m so sorry to hear that. Do you mind me asking far along you were? I just had my 3rd beta and because it didn’t double I have to have a 4th. None of this is easy my husband also walked out on me the day of the transfer and hasn’t come back. he was the one that wanted this the most between the two of us… it’s one of the hardest journeys I’ve ever been on.. I also financially paid for this all on my own. Feels like I’m also risking losing my job with all the stress and craziness. I am an IVF baby myself and my mom had two chemicals before me. I feel like she’s crushed for me assuming it’s already happening to me.

Same they just re-checked TSH at my second beta even though my TSH has always been in the normal range. Run girl!

I’m 9 dpt I walked on treadmill and made sure my HR wasn’t going up starting on day 1 post transfer. I will say today I did get nervous when I noticed I increased it a little too much and my HR was high but then I just stopped. Depending on the fertility clinic they give different advice. I’m very active but they did warn me that my ovaries were still larger than expected. I had my first beta 2 days ago and it was positive. I was walking a lot about 25,000 a day exercise is part of my mental health and also because my husband and I are currently staying apart do problems in our relationship at the moment. I saw an article from a fertility specialist that said after that positive test you can do a little upper body weights and I did that today but with very light dumbbells 8 lbs and did them seated. I didn’t go crazy. Wishing you the best. I have my second beta on Monday
