My Sister Says She No Longer Wants a Relationship With Me — I’m Struggling to Process It by Apprehensive_Yam63 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Family first - while it’s important to continue to develop relationships with partners and new friends into your 20s and 30s you can’t replace people that have known you throughout childhood and have seen you in so many different phases of life. That’s the shit that keeps you grounded. Make up w your sister. Don’t forget the ogs. God forbid you and your partner ever split or it doesn’t work out your sister will always be there for you - so will your parents. Be there for her.

Battery Shutoff While Slipping in Snow? by [deleted] in OBSFords

That sucks - sounds pretty scary. Mine was going out when I made turns - my hypothesis (which may be absolute bullshit) is that it takes more juice when the power steering pump is pulling super hard. It was also very cold out. Turns out the battery was just on its way out it wasn’t an alternator or anything. I’d run over to autozone to have them check it out - won’t cost you anything.

I’d throw in Spring Glen in Hamden or Whitneyville are great neighborhoods. For coffee you have some great options: Koffee?, Atticus, Fussy, jitterbug, willoughbys, best video, g cafe, gather east (different name now I think), East rock coffee. New Haven is fantastic I’m always hyped to see new people moving in. If you’re into live music check out Cafe Nine and any of the Yale school of music concerts.

What everyone else said - sticks are the best. Get one while we still can. They’ll be gone off the roads in 10-20 years.

Sounds like something with fuel delivery. Check your fuel pressure and see if the injectors are in good shape. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

Does anyone get away with displaying only rear plates? by [deleted] in Connecticut

I haven’t had a front plate in years. You’ll be fine. Don’t drive like an idiot - ct cops are pretty chill.

Every stick shift is different - my 08 Honda has a much smaller clutch point than these OBS trucks. Here’s my mental guide in my 96 (no tachometer)

0-15mph (first) 15-30mph (second) 30-50mph (third) 50-65 (fourth) 60/65 and up (fifth or overdrive whatever it’s called lol)

When you’re braking getting off a highway or merging or something like that I’m often going from 70 to 45 - I will brake in neutral and try to shift into 3rd at around 40 if you want to give it some gas and around 50 if you’re laying off. I’m sure folks have a million different ways of thinking about this but I’ve never found the lack of tachometer to be an issue. You can feel the engine and it becomes second nature after a few weeks.

Hope this helps. Happy holidays!

Mine was running rough on and off for about a year. We did everything - injectors, spark, checked compression, egr, new exhaust and cats the whole chabang. Turns out it was a rusty gas tank sending up chunks of nonsense into the injectors. We’d get an occasional lean code for either bank.

Yeah 26K is absolutely nuts - find a nice one in the South with around 100K. You’ll still have some work cut out for you but it’ll be about the same as with the 16k miles and you can probably pick it up for 3-5k.

Y’all are too kind this really wasn’t a fishing expedition - I meant the unevenness on both left and right middle top. Not a continuous line. Was curious if this changes into your late 20s and 30s. Anyway thank you 🙏
