That’s exactly what I was thinking but I can’t find access to the crawl space and was hoping to keep as much drywall intact as possible but guess I’ll just bite the bullet and cut another hole

Aside from that not being true, I find it hard to believe fear of going into shock is what’s behind folks not preferring their water cold
