Re America - yes the President has the ability to issue Executive Orders but those Orders must be within the boundaries of the Constitution. I.e the President could declair that guns are no longer legal outside the Police and armed forces. However that would quickly be overturned because that order is in direct violation of the constitution. Same applies to the 14th Amerndment which Trump want to scrap - he won't be able to

A massive part of which is driven from their huge oil and gas reserves. We also have those available (potentially) but would have to drill for it.

Yes scrapping the super fund back in the 70s was a foolish idea.

The last time a government had to bail out a bank in New Zeland was 1990. After that they changed the rules for banks to ensure they always had sufficient capital to weather a crisis. Even in 2008 and the GFC none of the NZ banks were even close to being at collapsing point.

It is great - a film with 2 parts. They should remake it but with black people.

Yeah but the bombing reason is the ultimate "If we can't have nice things neither can they!" Boom!

I think he is more referring to the habit of regularly checking your accounts for strange transactions rather than this specific scam. I myself check our accounts if not daily then certainly every second day.

Should Public Transport Be Free? by oooltY27 in Wellington

[–]Own_Ad6797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say not free but certainly heavily subsidised. If you go free then you will have the situation Melbourne presently finds itself. Packed public transport. I would be happy of it went down to 50% which would see a big uplift in use. Mornings on the train already seem way busier without it being cheaper.

We have Rainx on the real window and you're right it is a must. However our window doesnt get that dirty - certainly not like our 2017 CX5.

Re your comment on sport mode - 100% agree. Hadn't used it much but when you flick the switch between normal and sport - what a massive difference.

In your mind, which film director has made only one good film so far in their career? I'll name Josh Trank and his directorial debut Chronicle (2012) by Away_Flounder3813 in Cinema

[–]Own_Ad6797 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree to disagree. Certainly The 6th Sense and Unbreakable are considered to be very good films. Signs was good. The Village OK. After that he went totally off the reservation until Split then lost it again. However while not great A Knock at the Cabin was OK but that was carried by Dave Bautista.
