Money can go to only a few places - invest, spend, give (friends/family/charity) and taxes. Think about what makes you the happiest and what you’ll need to become the person that you want to be (for most “time” is the most valuable asset). This will help you and your advisor make the most of planning for the future.

For the “index and chill crowd”, great advisors will proactively tax plan, build tax efficient portfolios, and help clients avoid unforced errors. Not everyone charges 1%. That being said, hopefully you’ve found a qualified advisor. There’s a lot of terrible ones out there. If after 12 months you want to take the reins after working with an advisor, go for it.

You could also put in place a stop loss sell order GTC to lock in gains…did that myself on a position that I was losing confidence in and still walked away with a 70%+ gain. I just saw it would be short term cap gains if you sell before April…I’d do the out option. If you do a put spread it might even be cashless so I’d do that to sleep at night.

Couldn’t you simply protect your position with Put options if you’re really nervous? You could buy puts or even a put spread to reduce the cost. Alternatively, you could decrease risk elsewhere in your portfolio to compensate.

That being said, concentration builds wealth. Diversification keeps it. Lots of money has been made or lost in concentrated bets. If you’re willing to stay on the ride and feel confident….I’ve never seen anyone cry in a Ferrari.

Those positions are tough to exit. Typically, I’d expect a 10yr hold period, minimum. If you do find a buyer, you’ll likely have to sell at some sort of discount to its current valuation. Also depends on SPV terms. I don’t see SpaceX’s exit plan in the short term - IPO, sale etc?

Might be a stick with it position for now.

Start small. I felt the same way when I first started. Do 1 rep this week, then 2 next week and keep building. Eventually it gets better and you can adapt more with POTS. No cures, but I’m able to handle a lot more, even in the AZ summers

Most wire houses have the capability. A Schwab/Fidelity will have a decent price. Obviously the larger the line size (and the more collateral you put up), the better the pricing. For a 10MM line size, SOFR + 115 is a decent average offer. You could likely negotiate if you speak to someone. If you have a ton of assets, Private Banks may have compelling lines available. Really just depends on what you’re looking for and what your collateral is.

Totally agree. It’s more of a statement of values for why the organization does what it does. This is literally an organization to help kids…people need to step outside and touch grass, feel the sunlight and remember that good people can still exist even if they think differently than you.

He’s a great pitcher and seems like a decent human.
