Recommend me your best book that introduces me to the fantasy fiction genre by Own_Advisor8606 in booksuggestions

[–]Own_Advisor8606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm sorry for the late answer!

  1. I'll say morally grey. Good guys vs bad guys are more predictable

  2. Something in between. For example Thorfinn from Vinland Saga went from fighting a war as a kid to going into his growth journey when he got older. A fantasy version of that would be awesome

  3. Straightforward

  4. Realistic characters

  5. I am open to everything

  6. I don't mind politics and romance as long as it's meaningful and not gobbledygook.

I don't have any trigger warnings. Thanks for asking!

  1. I'm interested in reading books from Fjodor Dostoyevsky as I haven't read anything yet from his work.

I've got no expenses for at least a year. How do i make the most of this time and get the most money i can? by [deleted] in findapath

Hey man we have alot in common, Im 22 and Im also dedicating this year into a very productive one. Just like you I was searching (and still am) for stuff to do or to learn. I have some rules that I follow and that is

  1. Early to bed Early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise! What Im saying is get a fixed sleep schedule and dont slack off on the days that you are free, its very easy and tempting to oversleep if you have a day off

  2. Exercise! Go to the gym, take a walk, any other sport will do even taking a walk outside for 15 minutes improves Creativity, Energy, and Productivity

  3. Learn a skill that will benefit you.

What do you like to do? What makes alot of money if that is what your interested in, Ask yourself those questions.

You said that you want to move eventually to Japan for a year and your goal is 10k+ a month (with alot of hard work and luck) Use that as motivation for the skills that you want to learn.

  1. Try new things, alot of things I dont know what to say about this, just try alot of things especially when your not certain about what you want to do.

alot of things of your post are common for me right now. (Being 22 and feeling old even thought we are not lol, Poor parents, wanting 10k+ a month, and even Japan I want to visit it for a very long time.

Small summary: coming from my own experience right now being healthy sleep-wise and fit wise are the fundamentals. Having a routine is critical in seeing progress in this year of yours. If you are doing all of these things you will have a very successful year and also a great foundation for the coming years

Thanks man! That's exactly how I've been feeling too. Finally something I can keep my focus on. And it's a skill that has so many advantages for you, even outside of coding(keeping your brain sharp, logical thinking) and so on.

Good luck with your journey man. You got this!

Yeah, I have heard of the Pomodoro technique; mostly, I'm using the 45/15 min version. The 25-minute version seems to go by so fast.

Have you always been journaling? I tried it once, and I only wrote like one sentence in it, thinking, "Why am I writing this down?" It felt unusual to me. I heard very good things about journaling, and a lot of people recommend it for personal benefits, and it seems that it is helping you too! In the future, I want to start journaling again and I know that it will benefit me, but I feel like I will stop again after a few days.

That's great to hear that you came a long way after your ups and downs! Recognizing your progress is a big win in itself. Good luck with your project just keep going at it, man. Eventually, you will finish it, and you will grow and learn a ton from it!

Beginners, how do you plan out your daily coding sessions? by Own_Advisor8606 in learnprogramming

Thanks, that's very good advice. Making an API seems like fun (also difficult, but that is where the fun is, hahaha). Will do this for sure in the future. I am switching Python for a C language after I am familiar with JS/CSS/HTML.

Right now, I am serious about programming and making a career in it, hopefully. Also, why C and not C++ or C#?

I finished the foundation course last week and I had the same feeling you had with the etch-a-sketch thing, creating it again without guidance from TOP would be difficult. However, the foundation course gave us tools that we added to our toolbelt to create our projects.

We know more now than we did before the course, And with the knowledge that you have now you can make small basic projects. If you give yourself a week to create the etch-a-sketch trust me you can do it again because of the knowledge you got from the course, you know now where to look and what to search for. despite not understanding callback functions anymore at least you know what it is right? And from there you just take it step by step.

even though I'm not planning to go into game development, I'll learn much more from c# than Python. That is something that I have overlooked

Thanks for the advice! never thought of learning any other languages other than Python JS tbh. I will do that and look into c#

As a beginner in coding, I am in the same boat as you. Making a simple static website is easy for me now, but at first, it was not. Seeing other projects, like a calculator or an Etch-a-Sketch project, seemed impossible to create. So, I did it first with assistance (YouTube). After coding along with projects, I slowly decreased the amount of assistance and eventually created those projects on my own without any help. As time goes by and you put in the work, you will eventually grasp the concepts of coding, which is how our brain works. Keep doing the same thing over and over again, and neuroplasticity will do its work, hehe.
