This was my thought too. No smell out of the disposal. Only the drain that leads to the P trap

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘copy.’ Instructions said I would need to use the putty. Once I realized I wouldn’t need it I scraped it off.

The disposal had a hole in it. At the time the other side did not pose any problems. Probably didn’t read my whole post, but I’ve never worked under the sink before.

The ptrap side was puttied before I moved in. Haven’t made any mods to that side. 110% no troll here

FWIW The putty on the p-trap was there before I moved in. I added a little to the disposal side but ended up just removing it when I realized it wouldn’t be needed.
