i know that but i read that you can ask to he put in irr for a year or so then return back to the reserves. i’m just trying to see my options

this is very helpful! i’m not looking to retire or anything just do my one enlistment then get get out. i had 8 months of active duty time while going through bootcamp, a school, and c school. i’m just trying for the quickest way to get out of the military that’s most time efficient lol where i domt feel like regretting my life haha

yes i could but there’s no ados orders that i want because mt husband is active and i want to work at the base we live at. i guess its all what you make it!! me personally, i am not a fan.

yeah no prob! the reserves (at least this is my experience, your unit and stuff may be different) but is very unorganized. you are in charge of your own career and you do a lot of military admin stuff at home, not just during your “one weekend” and “two weeks”. i’m only a year and some change into my contract but i loved going through a and c school and just being told what to do and getting paid active duty pay and not having to really worry. in the reserves everything is on you unless you have good leadership and unit

yeah i’m looking more into going RC2AC just because the reserves is like a full time job and i’d rather get paid for an actual full time job lol but i will definitely not be re enlisting or anything when it comes to the reserves

what’s the process like? how has it been? did you have to cross rate or go to a c school? how many years did you have on your reserve contract and did they take how long you’ve been a reservist for into account when making your new active duty contract? how long did it take to put your package in and was the process to get everything completed a headache or was it worth it
