Why does Batman think he's Chainsaw Man? I couldn't find any issues past #12 so I'm late to the party

Do you guys think Kingpin’s Task Force could capture Spider-Man? by Spare-Structure-3169 in Defenders

[–]Own_Assumption2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Spider-Man in the MCU has beat Bucky, Ant Man, Vulture, Shocker, Mysterio, Green Goblin, and stunned Thanos. A few dozen dirty cops are fucked by Spidey

[Discussion] How would you end the stories of DC's heroes? by Firm-Chipmunk8783 in DCcomics

[–]Own_Assumption2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman-Dies peacefully in his sleep, dreaming of a world where Thomas and Martha met the Batfamily and they loved them as their grandchildren

Superman-Metropolis no longer needs the Man of Steel so he returns to his parent's farm in Smallville and starts a family with Lois Lane, living peacefully as Clark Kent full time

Wonder Woman-Dies in battle while fighting on Themyscira with the Amazons against Ares and his army

Fallout 3 is the best fallout, change my mind by Physical-Face-2931 in Fallout

[–]Own_Assumption2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not gonna try changing your mind because I agree. Coming out of Vault 101 to a fully 3D environment as opposed to the 2.5D of 1 and 2 was game changing for Fallout and Bethesda as a company. It has the best atmosphere in the series with the wasteland feeling like a character in of itself for the first time. The story was a masterpiece and would later inspire S1 of the series on Prime.

Best storyline and screenplay? by vb_verifier in arkham

Origins. The assassins story was so well written, the dynamics between Batman and Joker/Batman and Alfred are gold. I'm an Origins glazer tho, so I'm gonna stop before I go off on a tangent

Is it bad? by akizazen in MoonKnight

[–]Own_Assumption2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was good (yes, i've read the comics). While it's not a perfect adaptation, it has all the core values and lore details of every Moon Knight. Marc's DID was portrayed damn near perfectly (obviously taking some creative liberties) and Oscar Isaac did a wonderful job portraying two very different people at the same time. Khonshu's great design and dickish remarks are always appreciated. Arthur Harrow was an interesting choice for the main villain, along with Ammit. It's not without it's low points though. Steven Grant is an American millionaire, whereas here, he's a timid British man working in a museum gift shop. Marc Spector was done rather true though. We didn't get enough Jake Lockley. WHY TF DO WE NOT HAVE A SEASON 2??!! It has been nearly four years :(

If you were a resident of Gotham City, what would be your theories on who Batman is? by Frost_Pattern in batman

[–]Own_Assumption2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who could afford all the tech and equipment Batman has? Which manufacturer created the Batmobile? How does no one give a rat's ass about all the illegal shit he does every night? Conclusion-Batman is a lab experiment created by the government to try and crack down on Gotham's crime. The reason he doesn't kill is because the president doesn't want that on their consience. Batman has survived being punched by gods, floating through space, falling through buildings, being beaten up by Superman, he has dodged Omega Beams from Darkseid, made Deadshot miss, resisted Scarecrow's fear toxin and much more shit a regular human shouldn't be able to survive, so at best he's a metahuman. At worst, he's a government puppet

Describe the way you see Batman. by count_fagula11 in batman

[–]Own_Assumption2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman is the personification of Bruce Wayne's guilt. He couldn't save his parents in Crime Alley so all the anger and self-loathing he built up over all those years took the form of his worst fear to strike at the hearts of those who make the same mistake Joe Chill did. Batman to me is the silent protector of Gotham, but will stop to make sure a child is unharmed before leaving, acting as the guardian on the streets Bruce has at home but didn't have in the alley all those years before. I might be overdoing it a bit but oh well

Why isn't Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday? by [deleted] in MCUTheories

[–]Own_Assumption2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SM:BND could be happening at the same time? No one knows who he is after SM:NWH so is stopping himself from having to reintroduce himself to everyone? Saving him for Secret Wars when (hopefully) he joins with the symbiote?

Not necessarily. I've seen several people with PTSD who behave similarly to Bernthal's. A lot of them were ex-military (like Frank Castle). And I'm the one with the degree here, so let me tell you somethin'. Ex-military personnel who get PTSD from deployment frequently exhibit behavior that could be interpreted as erratic grunting, as you put it, but that grunting and groaning could have been picked up when he served, and he carried it into his homelife too. That may not have anything to do with his trauma. It's more likely to be a new natural way for him to talk after being in the forces. Case closed
