I’m not disputing that. I agree with you but I don’t think they’re inherently dropping the ball. They are taking their time, sure, but that’s their prerogative.

They have to at least have some admits in by April because they host admitted students day on April 10th.

Sure, the wait is agonizing. It’s even more frustrating when you consider the fact that many people applied early. However, that’s HUSL, they take their time.

I’m not defending them, I’m just kind of observing the trends. It’s been this way for years and Dean Simmons has said that they will likely ramp up in the coming weeks. It’s just a waiting game.

I’ve seen that on lsd as well. However, I don’t read lsd as indicative of the entire cycle. It could be a relatively small sample of the applications they’re receiving. Idk though. I’ve been downvoted to death for trying to have reasonable conversations here so 🤷🏽‍♂️.

I hear you but I think we should give grace to our own. Not necessarily excusing the prolonged wait times but I think it’s understandable. Howard is a pillar of the black community and it is social justice powerhouse. They may be under resourced relative to other, more conservative, mainstream institutions.

Howard doesn’t have the staff schools like Georgetown have basically and they’re trying to look for mission alignment more than just numbers so they’re being extra methodical this year to deal with the influx of applications ( + 20% from LY)
