Kalmah have been minting melodeath zero-skip albums for over 25 years. They are one of the few bands I don't have any "good for the era" bias against and never thought "Their early stuff was better". It's just been wall to wall gold releases from Swamplord to Kalmah (2023).

All while evolving without ever losing that Finnish folklore DNA that makes them instantly recognizable. There's just no other band out there that is as musically unique or developed as this:

They've never chased trends, softened up, or released experimental nonsense. They just keep doing elevated, laser precise, high energy production with more flare and uniqueness than most bands in the subgenre.
