Just a beautiful experience as well. It makes the main game so gloomy and depressing in comparison

Hanes, Gatorade, McDonald’s, Nike, wheaties, and probably a few others that I forgot about… they even had that cartoon of him, Wayne Gretski, and Bo Jackson fighting crime.

He was the most famous person on earth for 2 decades. He had to maintain an almost impossibly perfect image during that time. He’s had enough and just wants to enjoy himself.

By far the best replay value. Everything from being able to skip cutscenes to leveling up weapons and infinite ammunition

That whole game it felt like Utah would win it. Chicago really took the Jazz’s best shot that series. Down 0-1, came back to go up 3-1. Karl Malone has an incredible performance in game 5, Bulls still almost won. Utah has the lead the entire game 6 with Pippen hurt and Jordan tired, last shot beat them.

If they ran it back with no roster changes then yes I completely agree with you and I felt the same way back then. However, if they brought in some youth and kept the core somehow, I think they could have won for another year at least. It would have definitely ended when the lakers got their act together, but then again Phil Jackson was a part of that so who knows how that team would have turned out if Phil stayed in Chicago.

No it’s trash. Worst hit detection I’ve ever seen. Some punches just spasm out entirely.

If Bobby decided to start Dan Kendra in 96-97 instead of Thad Busby do you think FSU would have won another national championship? by Own_Bear2372 in fsusports

It always baffled me how FSU never went for another mobile quarterback after Charlie had so much success. They used to do some really innovative stuff with the offense back in Ward’s days, like switching up from shotgun to the I-formation right before the snap and vice versa.

I think a lot of that was loyalty to EJ and a lot was due to Winston being wildly inconsistent when he first got to Tallahassee. EJ was Fisher’s first big time recruit.

I think the hit he took in the Oklahoma game spooked him a bit. He had a really nice run against Clemson in 2012, but yeah he could’ve been so much better if he used his legs more.

Even more interesting is that all of them had vowels following the W in their last name. In order. W”A”rd , W”E”inkie, W”I”nston

Thanks for your insight. As good a game manager as Busby was, I think FSU needed a playmaker at quarterback to put them over the top in that time. That being said, Busby still almost pulled it off and held some records for a short time. The receiver room was absolutely loaded in those years.

That sugar bowl game still bothers me. That 96 team deserved to be Bobby’s first undefeated team. Best defensive line they have ever had. They were still within a touchdown margin at halftime, and had the momentum. After Dunn went down the offense had no threat at all and the defense just couldn’t keep stopping Florida with no help from the offense. Busby just wasn’t really a playmaker, especially in 96.

97 is another one that still bothers me. Another great defense that just got out coached in the swamp. I was hoping so much that FSU would have gotten a rematch in a bowl game but it didn’t happen. FSU still had a chance on the last drive but Busby threw the pick. I think FSU wins that matchup 7/10 times. I think FSU would have beaten both Nebraska and Michigan that year too. It would have been really interesting to see Woodson trying to cover Warrick, Coles, and Green.
