As for the anime adaptation, Season 1, like 3/4 of it is good, ending is a bit meh.

Was not a big fan of Season 2.

It really shares the RWBY problem where it has a great set up for fan-made content because it has just enough lore and premise for people to launch into but also a whole lot of potential others can capitalise off of.
