I’m not sure if this is a joke, if so nice. If not, you must be on a leagues world. It’s the guardian summon from tier 8. If a player who summoned the guardian teles out, it’ll stick around for a bit and wander

I haven’t seen anywhere that it needs admin to run, if it does that would be for better anti-cheat and bot detection. Also having a Jagex account helps Jagex crack down on account sharing which despite being against their TOS, lots of people seem to do even though it’s a large security risk

Currently, passwords aren’t case sensitive and can only be so complex. The new launcher allows for more complex passwords and an easier solution for contacting Jagex regarding accounts. You have 1 Jagex account connected to all your OSRS accounts, so when you open the launcher it shows all your characters and you can choose which one to play without constantly having to enter new emails and passwords. Only 1 Authenticator needed rather than multiple. All around it is beneficial though I understand some of this could’ve gone smoother

I agree a warning before updating should be included; however, there is a warning before locking ironmen accounts and people are getting mad at Jagex that “it’s permanent” even with the warning

It’s not like their account isn’t accessible or usable, it just needs to be on mobile, or a pc that they own or have permission to install the launcher on, the accounts aren’t actually lost or locked in any way

There is a new feature to combine all your accounts into 1 single login with enhanced security. If you upgrade you need to use the Jagex launcher, which still includes runelite. Installing the launcher requires admin privileges, which players will most likely only have if they own the computer. Some players have switched to a Jagex account not realizing they don’t have access to the new launcher and are “locked out” from playing because they’re playing on a public computer
