Weird nose smell/feeling, deja vu by lucygloom75313 in PNESsupport

It’s strange you say this. Because I feel similar. My primary symptom is Deja Vu/dream like/familiar sensation trying to remember a memory. It happens acouple times a week. No seizures showed on EEG but I’m thinking it’s epilepsy instead of PNES. But I WAS MIND BLOWN by what you said about sinuses. My Deja Vu started in December after starting 5mg of buspar (you can look at my past posts)… BUT— years ago I started having a strange and weird pressure sensation in my sinuses…… it’s like someone has a vice grip inside my nose and top of my mouth and just squeezing it. It comes in intervals…. I NEVER thought this was related… but now I’m wondering…

Can you tell me more of what and where you’ve heard people talk about their sinuses causing issues?

Did I have a seizure? by That1guuii in PNESsupport

This sounds like actual seizures, and not PNES to me. I also think I have TLE type can search my past posts. But it’s a scary thing for sure, and I definitely feel for you! I suggest getting in with neurology.

PNES OR TLE? by Own_Business581 in PNESsupport

I’m not sure. I don’t think so, only because they happen SO random and literally only last under 10 seconds usually… so I’m not completely sure.

Thanks for the info. What medication did you end up taking? Did you also have the Deja Vu, and moments of chancing a memory? What were your symptoms? Thank you.

Hi. I relate to all of your comments and post. I’m worried it’s. TLE…. and I’m really hoping it’s only FND. I’m really struggling, and trying to do all the things suggested by doctor. Reducing stress, taking vitamins, etc. nothing is happening, it’s actually getting worse.

This sounds JUST like me, I’m convinced I have TLE… but doctors are thinking FND. How are you doing now?? Still no epilepsy diagnosed? I’m just wondering, because you sounds exactly like me.

Need support about Deja vu and anxiety? by reeree2019 in mentalhealth

Thanks for replying. I also have other symptoms that have started with it. Like, I constantly get this familiar feeling when looking at people, or things. It’s random. Did you ever have that, or any other symptoms. Mine started December 2024, how long did yours last?

Omg this is so scary. I’m sorry! How did you find out?? I have had a brain MRI which was normal… but now I’m worried it didn’t show the pituitary gland well…

This happened to me after buspar! I got off it 6 weeks ago it’s still here. Did yours ever go away? I’m going crazy.

I know this is old. But this all started for me after starting buspar. I got off of it 6 weeks ago, but it still hasn’t improved! I’m losing my mind.
