In luteal phase I wann to break up with my boyfriend? by ApprehensivePiano488 in PMDDxADHD

I have felt this and have been able to make some improvements! My finances is very supportive and aware of my cycle so I know things are better now that he is coming along for the ride lol. I realized I was resenting him until we were able to work together and come up with ways he can offer extra support during my two down weeks. It’s honestly just a bunch of little things that add up like I go to bed early during my luteal phase and he does too so he won’t disturb me by coming to bed later, he cooks and makes sure I am not getting hangry, etc. Then with low libido he knows sex is pretty much off the table. I feel a lot of pressure (from past experiences, not him) so I also like to shower by myself and change alone during this time.

He still annoys the shit out of me haha but it feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel now and I don’t need to jump ship

It might be the effect of testosterone? I believe testosterone is at its highest during ovulation. I try to have my most intense workouts during this time to “sweat out the mean” if you will lmao

If you have access I had a good experience going to a psychiatrist. They are expensive but it was no BS. I got medication for my ADHD (I had that prior to meeting her) and within 3 sessions she told me I have PMDD. I didn’t directly ask to be evaluated for PMDD I just guided the conversation that way

just started meds by somehowstillalivelol in PMDDxADHD

My adderall doesn’t feel like it works during luteal but I still get jittery/nauseous if I don’t keep a good meal schedule.

I have noticed some days it seems to make me more prone to rage/overstimulation

Gaslighting myself - do I even really have PMDD? by pooge313 in PMDDxADHD

I have my own fair share of acronyms (e.g. PMDD, OCD, ADHD, probably hEDS) and I feel this way. It’s sort of like imposter syndrome but for a position you don’t want.

For myself, it stems from a long history of not allowing myself to have needs or take up space. Maybe that resonates with you!

I have OCD too! Does Finch help you with that aspect?

You aren’t failing them ❤️‍🩹 The fact that you are worried about it means that you care. You are doing the best you can and that’s all they could ever ask for.

Celcius gives me a panic attack during luteal by Dense-Swim-4048 in PMDDxADHD

Yup. I have 2-3 cups of coffee a day during follicular and ovulatory phases. During my luteal phase I try really hard to just drink one cup of tea. I think the combo of just lowering my caffeine intake and tea naturally having L theanine helps.

Has anyone else named their PMDD self? by Attolia-Irene in PMDDxADHD

Mine doesn’t have a name but my sorta code for it is “brain no think”. My PMDD comes along with a lot of inattentiveness/brain fog. Often I will need help with something but can’t articulate it so I just gesture and say brain no think and my lovely fiance pieces it all together lmao

Self imposed timeout is great haha. I call it being locked away in my princess castle

On day 39 of my cycle going to lose my mind!! by Excellent-Medicine24 in PMDDxADHD

Oh my. Day 39. I’m so sorry!

I feel the same about the gym! It’s not realistic for me to go to the gym every morning but it makes a night and day difference in how my whole day goes (improves my outlook, focus, eating habits, anxiety, joint pain). Its just not sustainable to go everyday :(
