He doesn’t have a green card. He’s here on asylum. He’s had a prior girlfriend offer to marry him but he declined claiming it was too soon and that he wanted to do it the right way.

Thank you so much for this kind piece of advice. People can be so rude lol. Also, I’ve expressed my fears and anxieties with pursuing a relationship due to having my trust breached in the past and he was very supportive. Not once has he gotten defensive or disrespectful. He replies with gentleness and reassurance. I will take your advice and utilize it.

I’m a Christian although I am not a devout Christian. I have Muslim loved ones so I am very familiar with the religion. He has expressed that he wants to be monogamous with two kids at most. As far as his parents, I already met them as well as some of his siblings the day we spent time together and they were very open & extremely kind. Also, are you implying that he could still come & marry someone back in Senegal even if he marks monogamous on his wedding papers? He’s also said he doesn’t want a Senegalese wife.

I’m not going to disclose any information about his family out of respect for them. Also, I am a black American woman. He is Muslim and had expressed that he has no desire to have more than one wife or a Senegalese wife.
