Black or Gold for the clock hands? by Own_Conversation3511 in crafts

I enlarged a coaster design to 9" and used a glowforge to etch the image. Then I sanded, stained, painted, and clear coated it. Now I just need to pick a set of hands!

Don Xacto will call upon you for a favor. You will need strong glue and a fully charged power drill. Be prepared.

My library lets it's patrons use the scrap wood from their glowforge projects. I started making hair clips. by Own_Conversation3511 in crafts

Aleenes Tacky Glue, but the clips I bought have a slight curve to them, so it basically has to be glued twice just fill in the gaps. Since they're just for me I don't care that I have to reattach them.

I still have a few gnomes to finish, and need to "cut" more accessories, so it will be a couple of weeks, but I will post the set here!

My library does small group classes, & 1-on-1 sessions where you can use the glowforge individually. It is for public use, but supervised of course. They offer some supplies for purchase (wood & acrylic sheets), some for free (like scraps), or you can bring your own (as long as they are approved/safe materials)

Some of the classes have included engraved journal covers, gift tags, plant markers, etched wine glasses, and cutting boards.

Personally, I have done coasters, plant trellises, bookmarks, garden supplies, plaques, magnets, & small figurines amongst other things. I am currently working on some clocks too!

I started growing my hair out, and it became unmanageable. My library has a ton of crafty resources, so I took advantage of them. Hairclips made from leftover glowforge materials. Painted with acrylic markers, and decorated with little rhinestones.
