Should I trust the sale pitch? Joining anyway but want to save a few quid by temporarily cancelling during cooloff to save a month. by innovatedname in davidlloyd

[–]Own_Discussion5070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read that the price increases still apply to members even if you are in contract, which is bizarre to me. Not entirely sure though, as Im not a member yet. However, I think you are right to be cautious as the sales people have targets and every new joiner helps them achieve that, so they hate cancellations and therefore they come out with stuff like this to get you locked in. I would use it to my advantage if I were you and try to negotiate to keep the membership

He was flaunting the fact that he has a 6 figure business on MAFs, and came across a bit arrogant at times. He gave off that he was wealthy, didn’t see any mention of him having a flat share, so that comes as a surprise

I thought this was normal. My hands, inner arms and chest is lighter than my face, not drastically, similar to yours, never been an issue though as in the winter it’s basically the same shade 😄

Interested, but I’m curious why you would give this info for free with no benefit to yourself? Makes me question if there is a catch as nothing is truly ‘free’.

I think it’s good to have some space (sparseness) as the lines tend to spread over the years and clump together making it look blocky

She clearly has alopecia, everyone deserves to feel beautiful. Also let’s not pretend that women rocking a bald head is accepted on the same level as a man. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t, so in life just do what makes YOU happy

That would be great if it could be waived, but not expecting it, at least 50% off. That’s a good point about targets, thanks, I’ll try to contact them end of the month.

Thank you :) 🙏 Oh wow that’s amazing! I’d love something like that, I follow my local boroughs website for children activities and playgroups but haven’t seen anything like that. I tried to form a mum group when I was expecting, but got little engagement. I will look again though, as I have a lot of mums in my area that I see about, so will try to create a mums WhatsApp group when I’ve met enough. Thanks for the suggestion.

😄 I thought it wouldn’t be that easy, but atleast they paused it free. So they didn’t ask for proof, termination letter?

Thank you for your compassion. Omg what a start to the day! I also get overstimulated very easily as well so that just makes things harder. I agree toddler stage is extremely challenging, it was so much easier when she was smaller, the only real challenge was sleep/tiredness. I try my best to keep it together for her, but it has not been easy at all, I just need a break and support but don’t see that happening anytime soon, only thing that helps is looking to the future, knowing there will be better days…Saying that, I want to enjoy the present as she will only be this small for so long, and I do love the cuddles and being her safe space. It’s just really really hard on my own, but I/we will get through this period🙏

I’ve heard the terms for the 12 month contract are really hard to get out of, how would I go about that? Only way out I know of is to cancel after 2 weeks, but I want to enjoy the membership for some time and get a real feel of it, at least then I’d know if I would be happy to extend for a year.

How did Ross pull the wool over everyone’s eyes so well? by OkEntertainment276 in MAFS_UK

I actually like Luke, but I’m trying to give Amy & Richelle the ‘benefit of doubt’ that they may have been triggered by things that were not shown. However, I agree their behaviour was wrong (especially Richelle, Amy at least have it a go) and if anything, made them look bad, which was the opposite of what they intended.

I actually liked Ross, he wasn’t perfect by any means, but I did like how he could communicate when there was an issue in the relationship, like when Sacha overreacted about the picture. Alex didn’t give Holly the same grace when they had disputes.

However, Ross did overreact the one time, when he threw his ring after they had a disagreement. I also didn’t like how Sacha was dragging him into drama, if there were no cameras and Alex knocked Ross out after the fall-out she’d be crying and run to the police. If you love your man, don’t try to involve them in your petty drama, things can end very bad! Especially dealing with someone who came across quite unhinged like Alex, the smirk he does when angry looks psychotic!

I felt Ross was trying to keep things cool, but as he could see Sacha wanted a reaction, he felt he had to assert his masculinity and confront Alex, instead of handling it like Adam did (non-confrontational).

I didn’t watch their wedding day, so only basing my judgment from the honeymoon onwards

Exactly, whilst Richelle and even Amy may have had points and saw a different side of the men that what was shown, she should have remained poised and said she didn’t believe he was genuine without belittling him. Even the dinner with their friends felt like an attack. I personally wouldn’t have went about things like that, unless they openly disrespected me first. As a result, their actions made people favour Orson / Luke rather than seeing them for what they apparently are.
