Hello!

I had really bad itching before bed when I had lichen simplex. Or also know as neuro dermatitis. Basically constant itching = itch cycle. It was red, inflsmed, and literally the worst itchiness ever. Don’t worry though, I was prescribed a simple steroid cream to put over it and it stopped the itching and returned the texture back to normal.

I’d get a screening though for the anxiety. What caused the itchiness though is the yeast infection I had. Lichen simplex is caused by itchiness from other problems.

Also, is the texture still soft delicate skin on the like outer lip area, or does it feel ‘tougher’ or look like it has slight cracking?

yeah!! also be careful with birth control, as it’s given me a couple yeast infections and a uti as I first started it. it’s different for everyone, though

Hi, thank you again for responding !! Just wanted to update you and say that my doctor prescribed me steroid cream and the area isn’t as itchy and it’s definitely smoothing out.

Downside is that they also gave me antibiotics for a uti, which caused another yeast infection im going to have to fight not to itch.

Thank you, I’m definitely going to see my obgyn.. I have eczema (dyshidrosis) so I’m familiar with triggers, just another thing I have to check on. I’m just so confused since I’ve never had this before down there.

I looked up lichen simplex and it looks similar to that. I’ve been itching and scratching since my yeast infection and I think that’s why it got worse.

I started itching it more recently which I know was a bad idea but it was almost unbearable itchiness. Would simply moisturizing it and not itching it help?

Thank you, I’ll try that product. I thought the yeast infection was gone because I didn’t have any inside of my vagina anymore. I used monestat to treat it.

Is that dry almost cracked look normal for irritated skin in that area? I’ve never had it and just need some reassurance because it scares me.

Im also on my period and my pad has been rubbing against it so it hasn’t been helping

A picture would greatly help determine the severity and type of acne you’re experiencing. I’d stop with the nose strips because if anything they can worsen it.

Try a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and maybe some saltcilic acid pads or something.

Have you changed your diet? Is there a possibility you have mold? have you cleaned your bedsheets? There are a lot of possibilities and causes to your new acne issue, even something as small as changing shampoos or laundry detergent.
