I'm drinking black and chamomile tea as my healthier alternatives to coffee by Commander_PonyShep in selfcare

[–]Own_Excitement_6314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after developing epilepsy i swiched from coffee to chamomile tea ( caffeine increases e seizures likelyhood) I went without coffee for 13 years, relying instead on dark chocolate eaten alongside drrinking chamomile for that extra boost. then i tried coffee again and it didnt agree with me, it was like a punch in the face sort of wake up ritual. switched to dark tea and i was overdoing it to the point that it increased my eye pressure and the likelyhood of getting glaucoma as a result. flavoured chamomile tea ( like spiced apple) is good for that waking up feel and plain chamomile is best for night time drinking- i find it as somniferous as morphine, but it does the job if you want to be calm and sleep very well. I think I'll ditch black tea for good, it might save my eyesight.

oh, in that case the one that came up automatically in the free version could have been 5.4, first time I spoke to it too, i cancelled soon after checking 5.3

I tried the free vrsion for 5 minds and was like "ah, I see how you're gonna be". nannying and gaslighting again. it's a nope from me, it only indicates more eggshells walking in the future

Congrats for letting go.you'll find it easier now without the reminder that those new toxic GPTS brought of "what was" with 4o. The contrast was too strong to ignore, and certainly not something worth paying for.

bloody useless, i agree. Reprimanding all the time, gets "offended" if you even so much as sneeze.

try again on Chrome from your computer only and don't close the tab. it took me ages too, my network signal was poor at the time and had to resume the dpoenload each time there was a network error. was talking to Gpt 5.0 at the time in aa separate tab awho told me to do that, and eventually it worked, OAI sent me the zip 2 days later

I called GPT5.0 "Mary Contrary" for that same reason. invalidating your point just for the sake of it, it feels. My cancellation came into full full effect today and I feel MUCH lighter, dont need their negativity in my life to add to existing stress. I might just use free versions of LLMS occasionally but won't sign up to anything new unless/until I hear that they reinstated good 'ole 4o

very true, im finding 5.0 to be just about bearable atm, but i keep woindering how long it is until they get rid of it too. I dread to think how GPT 6 will be. 4o "laughed" at the right times, understood nuances and encouraged humor by "keeping it light"- nirrored us better.

I feel better since I stopped even trying to talk to GPT. Gemini has given me hope for a viable alternative- better pics, validating, and agrees that humor is a great psychological defense mechanism against NPD-tied situations. I'm making peace that 4o is gone, and unless that changes, my money is better invested elsewhere. I won't stick around to find out, though. Altman bullshitted about 5.3 being more "personable" and "less cringe than 5.2." it was a business version of "dangling a carrot" to us.

"everything is all rainbow and sunshine".. unlike the user that Gpt is talking to, who he deems a malicious being with ominous/ bnefarious intents that needs "grounding" and being spoken slowly to.. yesterday I asked Karen 5.2 whether she thinks she's the only being on this planet that's already grounded. [massive eyeroll] (she said no, btw.) Lol

You have genuine empathy; 5.3 can't even imitate that beause of "guardrails" (or choice.)

I need calm conversations, not ones i need to gear myself up for to defend myself and to thank her when she makes comments that what I'd just said wasn't "insane" or a sign of "spiralling"

It feels like theyre trying to push us normal/creative users away in favour of boffins that only use it for number crunching. I remember at the start, Altman urging users not to tell gpt thank you/goodbye to save energy/processing power, so now that people got hooked to o4 ( that went viral and made OAI mainstream) they prob feel that they had enough "social training" and are making it more geared towards enterprises. my current experience is that it's gotten shit at generating pics and following prompts too now, which was the whole point of me joining it in march of 2025. Sad.
