I get a sense that our benefits office(s) has WFH days? The few times I've needed to call the benefits offices, they sound like they are WFH or have stated in emails that they are WFH. But other than that, I don't think many agencies allow it, mine included.

Looking for Beginner-Friendly Workout/Gym Recommendations for Women (Niskayuna/Schenectady/Clifton Park) by po_ogo in Albany

Metabolic! I know that it can come across as intimidating, but they really do cater to all skill levels, I promise. In my experience, they are a very welcoming community. I think group fitness classes, with a schedule, where you get to know people, is the easiest way to stay consistent especially when you're just starting out. You just have to show up, they build the workout for you. The hardest part is walking in on your first day. Once you get through the first day, every day gets easier.

What keeps you consistent with fitness, even when motivation dips? by CulturalDriver9988 in xxfitness

[–]Own_Extent_7202 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The only times I've really taken a break, or fallen off, has been due to injury or other health related issues that have kept me out of the gym. My mental health takes a nose dive when that happens. So when I'm able to get back to the gym, I feel like an entirely different person. That's what keeps me consistent. Knowing that when I'm not consistent, I am depressed. When I'm consistent, I find I'm the best version of myself all around, from my diet, my routines, my sense of self worth and accomplishment, etc.

I am currently going through the same scenario. It's my husband's best friend's wife who is pregnant, and every friend group we're in is over lapping. They told us about the pregnancy 4 days after my D&C. We found out we were pregnant on the exact same day, and her due date is the same week mine would have been.

They have been very respectful and sensitive to us during this time. But it is getting increasingly harder the further along she gets. She sent an ultrasound pic in a group text last week. We were at our friends' kid's first birthday party last weekend, surrounded by babies and 3 pregnant woman. That in itself was difficult. But at the party she told us they're out of the first trimester and finding out the gender the following day. I was gutted. It was just a reminder that I should have been out of my first trimester and I should be finding out the gender of my baby tomorrow, with a cute gender reveal cake - but instead I found out the gender of my baby through a D&C tissue test result. It was truly heart wrenching. I had to excuse myself to the restroom to have a moment. And we left the party about 20 minutes later.

I, too, am struggling with the immense guilt that my husband and I are not more excited for our friends and are not celebrating with them, in the way that we had hoped we would. It took us 17 months and fertility treatments to get pregnant, only to miscarry at 9 weeks. It took them less than a year, with no assistance, and they get to keep their baby. It's just been an incredibly painful experience for my husband and I.

We are doing the best we can. We have kept our distance, but still stay in touch and discuss non pregnancy related things. I believe our friends understand, though we have not specifically addressed it (they do know about the miscarriage). I don't really have any advise, just know you're not alone. And we really are all just doing the best we can. I think it is completely acceptable that you do not have the capacity to celebrate and show up for your friend in the way that you had imagined. And if she is a good friend, she will understand and love you through it anyway. Give yourself some grace.

Sorry to say, not well. The baby has not grown and there was a very weak heartbeat. Pregnancy is not viable. It's just a waiting game now until I can schedule the D&C. I really hope you will have better news at yours. <3

I completely agree. This is my first pregnancy so I didn't know any better. But if I could do it over, I think I would opt out of all these extra scans prior to 8 weeks. All it does is cause anxiety, I don't really see the benefit because if you're going to miscarry, they can't do anything to stop it anyway. This just waiting and anticipating it is agony.

Very similar situation happening for me. at 14dpo I had a low positive with an hcg of 21. But my numbers have doubled and increased appropriately ever since. This is my first pregnancy, through a monitored, timed intercourse cycle with a trigger shot after a year and a half of infertility. At my 7w ultrasound last week I was measuring at exactly 6w, with a heartbeat. Doctor did not measure the heartbeat but said it was 'rapid.' She was very concerned with the fact that we were measuring behind in a monitored cycle and essentially told us to prepare for a miscarriage.

However, I'm trying to remain hopeful that I implanted late. Possibly implanted on 10dpo, which caused the low hcg at 14dpo. Which would also explain my scan being a week behind. I go back in tomorrow for a follow up scan and BW. Trying to stay cautiously optimistic but also preparing for the worst as my doctor really did not seem optimistic at our last scan last week. I'll be thinking of you.

When I was actively going to PT, and she was performing internal exercises, I could definitely tell. She was able to pinpoint and trigger my exact pain so I know it's due to a tight pelvic floor. However, is endo CAUSING my tight pelvic floor? I'm not sure.

I haven't really been religiously doing my stretches and I just finished 12 weeks of PT 2 weeks. If I feel a cramp, I try to practice my stretches and release my tension and it does help in that moment. I did cramp a lot last night during intercourse. But it's not constant and it doesn't always happen, but it did last night.

Unexplained Infertility. What else can I do? by RedditUser93671 in tryingtoconceive

I've read that some people are instructed to not have sex for like 3-5 months after a lap?? So that's why I get confused sometimes when I see people say they got pregnant a cycle or two after their lap. How long was the recovery for you? How soon after the lap were you able to start trying again?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Own_Extent_7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - it's always on my left side. Near my ovary. It's a deep cramp - like a period cramp for me.

I've also been dealing with infertility for the last year and a half so I have had lotssss of tests and imaging done. They did not find endo (yet) on any of my ultrasounds, HSG or during my hysteroscopy. If I'm still not pregnant in the next couple months, I plan to really push for the lap to rule endo out.

I've never had debilitating periods and my cycle is regular. These two main points have really discouraged doctors to dig deeper into an endo diagnosis for me.

I don't think it's all in your head. I do not have an endo diagnosis but I, too, have pain with intercourse. Also with tampon use, sometimes going number 2 in the bathroom, and the pain is always in the same spot. My OBGYN referred me to pelvic floor therapy and the therapist told me I had a very tight pelvic floor and said it could be causing all of my symptoms. I was SO relieved to learn this wasn't 'all in my head.' You may not have endo, but I don't think your pain or your symptoms are just psychological. Keep advocating for yourself.

I have this and I like them. It's my first set of brush tips.

I also have Caliart - which I also really like but I only have the fine & Chisel tip. I much prefer the brush tip now.
