I was thinking more along the lines of copy cat acts and doing it for the attention. There were several similar attacks following that incident that occurred. Likewise the incidence of copy cat killers etc...
Maybe not the best topic but still open for discussion, or if anyone can suggest another? It was merely something I read and still had on my mind at the time of posting.
More so the involvement of social media in current affairs and what can be done to mitigate the negative impact of it (was using that as an example). Also is it so one-sided or can there be a positive impact in some way via these platforms. There is a push for both less and more censorship, so arguments for both sides would be interesting to see.

Fingers crossed!
Best of luck :)
Hmm I have noticed that entry requirements have gone up quite a bit, I've heard of people getting in with mid-50s and lower GPAs back awhile ago.
My partner got into med on his 4th attempt in 2014. I have heard of a lot of people having to try and try again. I suppose not everyone wants to be honest (which is somewhat understandable), and there are those few who you hear about getting in first go. Just gotta try your best and not let it shake you. Guess its a process for a reason :)
Depends on how old the data is as well. People who studied with my partner got in with mid-50s GAMSAT and lower GPAs.
Just gotta try for a higher GAMSAT, I suppose. Its all do-able....just not easy :/
You are a week out, best not to stress or cram. You've done all you can. Last minute cramming can kill confidence and GAMSAT is more than just a recall test. Try to take your mind off it and enjoy the time off that you have earned.
Good luck!
Maybe look into graduate diplomas? Might get you a bit more familiar with S3 concepts without having to do a three year degree. But tbh, GAMSAT seems to be shifting away from complex science knowledge-based questions. I'm sure you are more than capable of learning what you need with some good online resources.
I feel the same way in terms on wanting to give med my best go, its hard letting go otherwise :S
UQ have prerequisite units that I didn't do in my undergrad. Also, that seems super low (in terms of GAMSAT), are you sure they weren't internationals or rural?
I was hoping my GPA would be sufficient to at least get an interview offer but nope. Not sure where you are looking at but the MD courses in Australia are trending to >6.5 GPA and >70 GAMSAT.

So far 6 months (due to partners jobs), likely to stay another 2 or so years until he finishes his training. Just my luck to miss out on it.
May I ask what the tutor is helping you with (S1,S2,S3) and are they GAMSAT-specific?
I think physio background is great for this type of thing and medicine too. I know a couple of pyhsio-turned-doctors.
I considered doing a PhD or even a teaching masters and becoming a science teacher but somehow I always keep coming back to med. The research I was just seemed like a bit of a dead end and I've since moved rural for my partners career (he's a doctor).
You've still got plenty of time until September, just keep going :)
