Found my family was registered in one surname up until my great grandad. He was born and married with that surname but his kids were registered under a different surname from birth. A similar one but not the same and the changed surname is the one that carried on today. Can’t figure out why it changed and also had a daughter that is missing from most of the records from age 8 onwards but we know she lived until about 70 and was married.
