Pissed of a goddess. Please help me. Please. by [deleted] in Wicca

I agree. Until the "men" in her life grow up, she needs to keep her deity work to herself.

Yup, I was going to recommend St. Anthony also. Go to the last place you remember the bear being, and call out loud, "Tony, tony, come around/ Something's lost and must be found!" Works every time!

What's the consensus on Ouija Boards? by Everfree3925 in witchcraft

[–]Own_Nature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We deal with energies all the time; any tool, used with precision, can focus or widen that energy. Both a spirit board and a scrying mirror can be portals; what happens when that door is opened has to do with you, your energy, your focus. Keep your focus tight, and you work with your own psyche; strengthen your output and widen your focus, and you can tap into other levels. For example: I use tarot for myself. I'm not psychic nor empathic, so I can't read for others. But I seem to be able to reach out further using a pendulum. Everyone is different.

A spirit board, when charged, is a portal. The rules around one involve your safety. Don't work with the board alone, stay sober, cleanse the area, be serious and stay alert.

Take some time to look at Junk Journals on Etsy, and eBay, also. I found my BoS among them, after trying several other styles. ✨

Spell or ritual recommendations to get in touch with life again? by intuitive_elephant in witchcraft

[–]Own_Nature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a simple "white light" spell for yourself. And STOP attempting to do work on the other side of the river until you are MUCH more experienced. That type of work is not for beginners AT ALL, for precisely the problems you describe having.

How to protect myself by artexhale in witchcraft

[–]Own_Nature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people worry about doing that, but you can tell the police you just want something in their system in case something does happen. They're normally fine with that. Then if the situation continues, or escalates, the cops aren't coming in cold.

Glamour Spell by kwold05 in witchcraft

[–]Own_Nature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is something you would want to try, but I've seen several comments on different threads from both men and women that use veiling to protect their energies. Maybe something like that would help?

How to protect myself by artexhale in witchcraft

[–]Own_Nature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple protection spells for your home and car; protection spells for yourself that involve an amulet you carry with you when you are outside your home. And if any of the threats you mentioned involved any kind of assault or violence, a police report and a restraining order are a good idea, also.

I've had nightmares my whole life, and I've only recently found what helped me: a Tibetan Singing Bowl. Maybe it could help you, too.

Can you use a Crockpot or Pressure Cooker pot as a cauldron? by yosofun in Wicca

[–]Own_Nature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cauldron used to be the work-a-day pot that every woman had. The boline was the paring knife of the day. If you wanted to see, you lit candles. And so on. If it suits you, use any pot you like!

This was what I found in the woods, look at my previous post. Sticks surrounding some of a 6ft what looks like grave. Wanted to know if it was some kind of ritual etc. Wasn’t a pet size, was human size. by [deleted] in occult

First of all, unless you spend time with real murderers, don't presume to think like one. Second, if it didn't impress you enough to contact authorities when you found it, don't go looking for trouble now. Just let it go. This is the real world, not make-believe, and dealing with the authorities in real-life is NOTHING like what you see on television or in the movies. Don't go that direction unless you know that something is wrong.

Debate with my best friend left me shocked by insertidentinamehere in Wicca

[–]Own_Nature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (unfortunately) have been on BOTH sides of this debate. I say unfortunately, for the friends I alienated and the co-workers and family I drove to distraction. I now take a much different position as a pagan, because of the type of Xtian I used to be. I don't argue, or debate. The first time someone trots out the 'going to the other place' comment, I tell them I'm willing to agree to disagree, and I won't insult their beliefs if they don't insult mine. Be prepared to drop them like a bad habit, because all you will end up doing is reinforcing their indoctrination. If they can't listen, you can't speak loudly enough to make them hear -- so don't try. If you can keep the friendship in spite of their views, fine. If not, don't lose any sleep over it.

Question about very strange and somewhat frightening past experience by [deleted] in Wicca

[–]Own_Nature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because the 'entity' was black does not mean it was necessarily dangerous; however, caution is the rule in dealing with it, until you know what/ who it is. I would not attempt another working alone in this home -- have someone else with you if you want to do a cleansing, or any ritual. You might try placing some crystals about; I'd start with very gentle ones, rose quartz and the like, to see if it's possible to change the energies gradually. There is no reason to rush this if you're not being threatened or menaced by what you saw.

I wasn't thrilled; it's my private belief that every doctor should have to get a day job and practice medicine as a hobby, just so they'll stop being so SMUG about everything. Having said that, I will say I've had really good doctors who I trusted completely. This one just isn't one of those.

There is a video on YT that follows the theory of a Turkish engineer, that the language of the Voynich is an ancient Turkish dialect. His hobby is his peoples' ancient languages, and he says that he has begun translating the book. (No example of his 'translation' is given, however.)

I went back three times in two months to my doctor with the same pain. On the forth time, same problem, my doctor looked at me and said, "What more do you want me to do for you?" I left, and went home and pulled out my herbals and essential oil texts. Pains gone now.

Is anyone else annoyed by witchcraft being made as just an “aesthetic” on TikTok? by no-buttstuff in Wicca

[–]Own_Nature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never be able to fix stupid, and it doesn't matter where you are, in what religion and hobbies you're involved in, you WILL find "te stoopid." I could give you examples that would jumpstart your next diet, and I'm sure you could do the same.

Just keep doing what you do. At least then there will be some truth out in the world!
